  • Amazon Web Services (Route 53) is offering a Software Development Manager position in- person in Arlington, VA / Herndon VA USA. In this role, you will be leading a team working on the development of a Tier-1 AWS service, Route 53 Global Resolver for customers focusing on a globally distributed DNS resolution service. You will be responsible for building and scaling a secure, highly available Anycast DNS resolver that enables customers to resolve both public and private DNS queries from anywhere while maintaining strong security controls and compliance requirements. We are looking for a proven and motivated Engineering leader to take our services software development team to the next level. As a leader, you will be responsible for significantly improving the service, making tough prioritization decisions, iterating and innovating

  • 5+ years of engineering team management experience - 10+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience - 5+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification
