Job Title: Defense Deception Activities Planner Travel: Anticipated Posting End: There is not an anticipated end date for this posting since applications are needed on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities

  • Synchronizes Defense Deception Activities (DDA) with campaign and operational objectives.
  • Integrates DDA planning across joint, component, and functional staffs to ensure alignment with operations, intelligence, OIE, targeting/fires, and campaign objectives.
  • Coordinates and synchronizes with Information Forces and information capabilities, including OPSEC, PSYOP, Cyberspace Operations
  • Electronic Warfare (EW, to integrate deception effects, mitigate risk
  • reinforce campaign or operational objectives.
  • Monitors DDA outcomes and impacts through intelligence reporting, open-source research, data exploitation
  • assessment frameworks, applying measures of performance (MOPs) and measures of effectiveness (MOEs) to evaluate outcomes and inform operational and strategic decision making Designs, authors
  • refines DDA annexes, appendices, tabs
  • supporting planning products, translating approved concepts into executable guidance.
  • Ensures DDA-related information systems, access controls, and data handling comply with DoD security, compartmentation, and information protection standards.
  • Facilitates secure coordination and information sharing with interagency, allies, partners, industry, and academic institutions supporting DDA efforts.
  • Conducts periodic reviews to assess DDA effectiveness, compliance, and risk, recommending adjustments to improve operational impact and security posture

Qualifications

  • Required: Current Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in a relevant field such as Strategic Communications, International Relations, Political Science, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Military Science or other applicable field. 5+ years of relevant experience in Military Deception, OPSEC, sensitive activities, IW, SOF operations
  • national-level policies. 7+ years demonstrated experience with military planning processes including Joint Planning Process (JPP), military decision-making process, joint targeting process, and/or military campaign planning Completion of Joint Military Deception Training Course, Army MILDEC Planner’s Cource Joint OPSEC Course, Joint Information Planners Course (formerly JIOPC), Army FA 30 Qualification Course
  • other Information Related Capabilities formal training completion.
  • Demonstrated experience with Operational to Strategic level planning, to include working on CCMD, Service Component Command, Joint Task Force staff.
  • Knowledge of CAP/SAP/ACCM programs, Joint Doctrine, and emerging concepts related to Defense Deception Activities.
  • Desired: Knowledgeable in intelligence disciplines, capabilities, limitations, and platforms and relevant Intelligence Community Directives.
  • Experience or knowledge of HUMINT and CI Operations and application and associated authorities 7 years experience coordinating compartmented or sensitive operational activity with the IC, Interagency, Allies and/or Partner This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.

  • Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
