Head of Global Application Production Services, VP III
What we are looking for: We are looking for a Head of Global Application Production Services who will be responsible for overall production support and operations of State Street Investment Management’s applications and software products, and CI/CD, DevOps platforms and processes.
This person will lead a globally diverse team of software engineers and analysts to ensure State Street Investment Management IT operates high-quality and reliable software applications and services that support our business and clients and ensure our IT community adopts high-efficient dev/release/operation processes and tools.
The candidate must have proven track record of managing global support teams and have extensive experience in Application Operations within the investment management industry. This role is part of the Chief Operating Office (COO) organization that provides technology and business services to State Street Investment Management.
This includes but not limited to sales, marketing to client onboarding, client investment management and trading, client servicing and corporate functions. Reliable production management is critical to the services and products our business is relying on to serve our clients.
Efficient DevOps is essential to a highly productive and agile technology and business services organization. What you will be responsible for Immediate : Establish consistent applications operation and support model, centralize L1, streamline and standardize monitoring and incident management, improve Major Incident (MI) management; Manage L2 for most critical, can’t fail applications (e.g. trade, portfolio construction, etc); Manage process to mitigate infrastructure risks.
Strategic : Establish and manage Application run/operations model in future (Cloud) environment; Help establish and evolve DevOps model including CI/CD; streamlined and implement consistent model for L2 and beyond. Implement industry best practices in Global Follow-the-Sun Application Support; Incident Management; Application monitoring and run.
Evolve software monitoring, configuration, run and performance and scalability in on-prem or in cloud environment. Effective collaboration with global Business organization and IT functions. Risk Excellence mindset, proactive risk identification and risk management. Education & Preferred Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor Degree with 12+ years software engineering and global support experience, 7+ years global team management Deep understanding of Software monitoring, production support, incident management, SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure platforms configuration.
