You'll join a highly creative, multi-discipline BIM design team delivering challenging and complex projects with innovative solutions for Amazon-owned Data Center facilities. You will support our Central Engineering team through the preparation of architectural and structural BIM models, leveraging BIM data to drive design excellence. You will work with internal teams and external consultants to ensure all BIM models and model data comply with AWS BIM standards and meet the Level of Development (LOD) requirements outlined in the exchange information requirements (EIR). Your scope will include learning and contributing to Data Center design across exterior envelopes, structural system interior architecture, site planning, space planning, life safety
- building code compliance. You will produce and maintain Structural drawing sets for our fleet of Data Centers, participate in BIM coordination meetings

Key job responsibilities Your primary focus will be designing Structural and Architectural BIM support for Data Center facilities, utilizing Revit to create and maintain BIM models in accordance with AWS BIM Standards. You will work collaboratively within a team environment with support and guidance to accomplish assigned tasks—engaging with internal groups, external consultants, manufacturers, vendors
- contractors. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure all BIM models and model data comply with AWS BIM Standards and meet the Level of Development (LOD) requirements outlined in the Employer's Information Requirements (EIR). Your duties will include:
- Working as a self-motivated contributor within the BIM Design group and across cross-functional teams
- Assisting in creating and maintaining Master Structural model files while ensuring precise coordination and alignment with Architectural, MEP, and other discipline models
- Preparing and developing detailed Structural and Architectural Revit models
- Assisting in creating and maintaining standard regional and global templates and family libraries
- Developing and publishing construction documentation for Structural/ Architectural designs in a fast-paced environment to meet scheduled deliverables
- Updating and modifying existing models, studies, and construction documents as required
- Assisting with creating and maintaining BIM templates and enforcing BIM standards across all project deliverables
- Assisting in developing standardized Structural details and custom solutions that align with company standards and project requirements
- Participating in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution
- Working on concurrent projects across multiple geographical locations
- Assisting the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers
- Supporting internal teams and external partners on Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols and AWS workflows, ensuring seamless collaboration throughout the project lifecycle from design to construction
- Recording and reporting key metrics to management
- Travelling to Data Center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys as required

- prototypes while keeping managers and leadership informed of design evolution. A significant part of your role involves BIM coordination: participating in regular trade coordination meetings, performing clash detection and resolution across Architectural, Structural
- conducting BIM model audits to verify compliance with AWS BIM Standards and LOD requirements. You will review consultant models for data accuracy and consistency, ensuring all deliverables meet quality benchmarks before milestone submissions. In this role, you'll receive coaching and guidance from experienced managers to develop your technical and professional skills, proactively seek feedback, participate in regular check-ins

- Bachelor’s degree in structural/architecture or similar discipline - 3+ years of structural design experience on mission-critical facilities - 3+ years of experience using Revit for producing structural/architectural BIM models and construction drawings - Experience participating in BIM coordination meetings and performing clash detection and resolution across multi-disciplined models - Proficiency in the following software tools: Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Dynamo, RF Tools, CTC Tools, Smartsheet, and Procore
- Experience directly related to Data Center design and construction. - Experience and knowledge applying Lean principles to design modeling and drawing production. - Experience observing construction, familiar with construction technology, familiar with construction practices. - Experience driving a team to implement new BIM tools, procedures, best practices.
