Position Summary: Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Data Engineer to be responsible for contractual data reporting requirements and providing post-production support of business’s contractual data & reports.

Duties include: review business and technical documents and contract language pertaining to data reporting requests by manufacturers, in order to demonstrate understanding of data commitments and implications for the business; review and redline data reporting contracts to ensure reporting requirements - including data quality and data specifications - are adequately captured within the contract; determine feasibility of delivering data according to contractual needs by performing necessary research within CVS systems and through partnering with the company’s data systems partner; partner with CVS Trade team to understand upcoming data project needs and product pipeline while providing relevant updates on project implementations and support activities; collaborate with internal partners to analyze and collect meaningful metrics and insights; review, problem solve and conduct root cause analysis of incoming data concerns not complying with contracts; analyze data & reporting information from data feeds and warehouses to determine feasibility of data reporting requests from pharmaceutical manufacturers; complete user provisioning requests for external contractual products, and submit user access requests for internal reporting team members; execute proper maintenance and centralized storage of key project documentation including business requirements, technical specifications, design documents, test plans; and write and execute simple SQL queries to combine, parse, extract and manipulate data to aide in data reporting.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Also requires two (2) years of experience with each of the following:
  • SQL programming languages;
  • Creating and executing user acceptance test plans;
  • Traditional relational data warehouse technologies: Oracle, Teradata, and Snowflake;
  • Google cloud Data engineering technology such as Big Query;
  • Data reconciliation, reporting, and analysis;
  • Retrieving relevant data from the database using SQL queries;
  • Create and maintain business requirements documentation;
  • Performing data reviews, and collaborating with peers on complex data requests/issues;
  • Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes; and
  • Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases. Pay Range: $130832.00/year to $144200.00/year. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
