As a Business Enterprise Program (BEP) Manager you will play a critical role by owning the end-to-end process for contracting, tracking, validating, and reporting spend with businesses that have been certified as owned and controlled by persons who are minorities, female, or persons with disabilities (BEP certified vendor).
This role partners with Procurement, Finance, Vendor Management and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, clear insights, and actionable recommendations that assure qualified diverse supplier spend. This position will primarily support the Illinois Duals Special Needs Plan for members who receive Medicare and Medicaid services.
Key Responsibilities Own the supplier diversity spend-tracking, data sources, and comply with regulatory reporting cadence requirements Maintain a reliable process for confirming supplier classification (e.g., minority-owned status) and documentation validity Partner with health plan leaders to identify vendor needs aligned to operational goals, member experience, regulatory requirements, and cost targets Assure compliance with contractual BEP requirements and maintenance of BEP Utilization Plan Build and manage dashboards and scorecards that show spend trends, gaps, and progress against targets Partner with Procurement/Sourcing to embed diverse supplier tracking into sourcing events and supplier onboarding Reconcile spending data across systems to ensure accurate attribution Establish data governance: rules, controls, exception handling, and audit-ready documentation Identify opportunities to increase qualified spending (e.g., category deep dives, supplier outreach, where relevant) Prepare executive-ready updates and narratives for stakeholders, including risks, blockers, and recommendations Train and enable business partners on how to code, classify, and capture spend correctly Support health plan initiatives to advance health equity and partner with Quality teams to drive improved health outcomes leveraging BEP vendor offerings Required Qualifications 2+ years in procurement, finance, supplier management, or related operational reporting Experience building spend reports/dashboards and improving data quality across multiple systems Working knowledge of supplier diversity classification and certification concepts Strong stakeholder management skills across Procurement, Finance, and business teams Ability to translate data into clear insights and actions Demonstrated experience developing and delivering presentations for executive audiences Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with vendor governance, SLA/KPI design, performance management, and issue escalation Preferred Qualifications Experience with supplier diversity programs (BEP or similar) Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/spend tools and business intelligence platforms (e.g., SAP/Ariba/Power BI/Tableau) Experience defining data governance or audit-ready reporting processes We support a hybrid work environment.
If selected and you live near a suitable work location, you may be expected to comply with the hybrid work policy. Under the policy, all hires for in-scope populations should be placed into a hybrid or office-based location, working onsite three days a week.
Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $82,940.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
