The Opportunity We are seeking a QA Tech I for our Temecula, CA location for our Vascular division. This role is fully onsite. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.
What You’ll Work On Provides technical assistance to engineering to support complaint investigation efforts by performing manufacturing record reviews and root cause analysis. Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve complaint investigation processes.
Core Job Responsibilities Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures. Assists engineering by performing root cause analysis for complaint investigations and documents findings in an electronic database.
Develops knowledge of products, processes, and procedures. Learns process improvement techniques by assisting in the Returned Goods evaluation process; writes basic instructions for testing returned unused devices. Performs queries of complaint database analytics reporting system to determine complaint counts and rates.
Assists engineers in collecting, compiling, measuring, organizing, and recording data, and writing procedures. Supervision Received Close supervision. Receives detailed instruction on all assignments. Planning / Organization Completes daily work to meet established schedules, with guidance from supervisor on task prioritization.
Decision Making / Impact Solves problems of limited scope and complexity requiring basic interpretation of well-defined procedures and practices. Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive information or documents. Technical / Business Knowledge (Job Skills) Applies limited knowledge of basic technical concepts and practices, and a basic understanding of product or systems fundamentals.
Utilizes basic knowledge of numerical or statistical data and computer software programs to resolve routine problems. Works in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks may result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
Cognitive Skills Performs routine technical tasks based on detailed written or verbal instructions. Performs routine setup, testing, repair, inspection, and or maintenance of specific equipment, materials, systems, and or products. Assignments require limited judgment in troubleshooting established processes.
Education and Experience Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent plus 0 to 3 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination. Two year degree or some college coursework preferred.
