We are looking for an experienced entertainment public relations professional to execute publicity campaigns for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios content in India. Based in Mumbai and reporting to the Head of Communications for Prime Video India, you will be responsible for driving earned media coverage and conversation around our growing slate of Original, Exclusive, and licensed content. The successful candidate will execute communications campaigns across our content portfolio — including Original series, films, unscripted programming, and live sports — working closely with internal stakeholders, international PR colleagues, and external agency partners to deliver impactful publicity in the India market. You will write compelling materials, manage media relationships, and support the planning and delivery of publicity events including premieres, press junkets, and talent-led moments. To succeed in this role, you must have high judgment, strong writing skills, and the ability to execute with speed and precision under tight deadlines. You must think clearly, communicate concisely, and manage multiple workstreams without losing attention to detail. You will be expected to stay deeply plugged into India's entertainment and media landscape — understanding what stories resonate, which journalists to engage, and how to generate meaningful coverage. Key job responsibilities Content Publicity - Execute PR campaigns for locally produced Amazon Originals, licensed content, select global Original and - Exclusive series, and the broader content slate - Draft press materials including releases, media alerts, talking points, Q&As, and briefing documents - Pitch stories proactively to news and digital media to secure high-impact coverage Events & Talent Publicity - Support the planning and execution of premieres, junkets, set visits, talent interviews, and other tactics - Coordinate with talent teams, production partners, and talent representatives to deliver media-facing events - Manage on-ground logistics and media coordination Media Relations - Build and maintain strong working relationships with relevant journalists - Conduct proactive and reactive media relations, managing inbound inquiries in coordination with the Head of Communications - Monitor media coverage and entertainment industry trends
- identify opportunities for PV to be part of cultural conversations Cross-Functional & International Collaboration - Collaborate with international teams and Amazon MGM Studios to support global campaigns with India strategies - Work with internal stakeholders (content, marketing, social media) to ensure campaign delivery - Manage day-to-day relationships with PR agency partners, ensuring quality and timely execution Measurement & Reporting - Track campaign performance, coverage, and share of voice - Provide post-campaign analysis with clear learnings and recommendations for future improvement
- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience - Bachelor's degree - Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations
- a related field - Experience in media relations and issues management - Experience managing external agencies - 5–7 years of professional public relations experience with a focus on the entertainment industry (studio, streamer, network, production house
- entertainment PR agency) - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi - Experience writing press materials (press releases, media kits, talking points, briefing documents) - Existing working relationships with entertainment and lifestyle media in India
- Experience in crisis management and response or equivalent - Post-graduate degree or diploma in Communications, PR
- Journalism - Track record of executing creative publicity campaigns and entertainment events - Experience working with talent, talent representatives
