About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant to support the Decision Science function within the Credit Card organization. This role will focus on Risk Underwriting and Line Assignment strategies. The role leverages deep expertise in credit card strategy and P&L modeling, applying state-of-the-art methodologies and technologies to build robust valuation frameworks that inform strategic decision-making.

Through advanced analytics and forecasting, this individual will evaluate underwriting and line assignment strategies, assess the financial impact of lending decisions, and provide insights into portfolio performance, profitability, and risk outcomes across the Credit Card business.

This position combines quantitative rigor with qualitative judgment and requires a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, economics, credit risk, and financial valuation. Successful candidates will possess strong analytical and technical capabilities, along with the ability to interpret complex data, identify the key drivers of portfolio performance, and communicate findings and business implications to senior leadership.

In This Role, You Will

  • Support strategy optimization through the advanced segmentation strategies and granular financial cash flow valuations that deploy state-of-the-art programming and statistical methodologies.
  • Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and valuation modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact

  • mentor Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience
  • equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Experience supporting credit card acquisition, underwriting, and/or line assignment strategies through analytics, modeling
  • forecasting Strong understanding of credit card portfolio economics, including revenue, expense, loss, profitability
  • net present value (NPV) drivers Experience developing, enhancing
  • applying valuation frameworks, cash flow models, P&L analyses
  • profitability models to evaluate business strategies and portfolio performance Advanced programming experience using Python and SAS for statistical analysis, forecasting, modeling
  • strategy evaluation Consumer lending cash flow valuation modeling experience Experience analyzing large datasets and translating complex analytical findings into actionable business insights and recommendations Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate analytical findings, business implications
