Job Description
Reporting to the Manager of Logistics, Carrier Management , this role plays a key part in delivering the Carrier Management strategy by leading a team responsible for creating, maintaining and optimising logistics service schedules to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery.
This senior role supports operational continuity by aligning schedules with business priorities, carrier capacity and compliance requirements. Success in the role requires strong leadership, planning, attention to detail and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders!
Key Responsibilities Schedule Development & Maintenance Lead the creation, maintenance and timely updating of logistics service schedules, ensuring they reflect operational changes, capacity constraints and seasonal demand. Maintain accurate documentation and version control to support governance and audit requirements.
Coordination & Communication Collaborate with carriers, Logistics teams and key functions including Finance and Global Sourcing & Procurement to confirm service requirements and communicate schedule changes. Act as the primary point of contact for scheduling queries, issue resolution and stakeholder communication.
Compliance & Standards Ensure schedules align with TJX Europe operational standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records for reporting and audits. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement Monitor schedule adherence, analyse performance data and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, accuracy and service delivery.
Lead the implementation of tools, processes and insights that optimise scheduling and reduce delays. Risk Management Identify scheduling risks, develop contingency plans and work with carriers to maintain continuity during disruptions. Team Leadership Lead, develop and support the team through clear objectives aligned to the Carrier Management strategy, performance management and talent initiatives.
Foster a culture of trust, open communication and continuous development, partnering with the wider Logistics Management team to deliver functional people priorities. Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal partners and external suppliers.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and conflict resolution skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, using data and performance metrics to drive improvements. High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
