About the role We are looking for a Mine Controller to support surface mining operations through real-time fleet coordination and control room execution.
Reporting to the Mine Control Supervisor, on a rotating 5/5/4 day / night shift roster and working collaboratively with operational and functional teams, you will be responsible for: Monitoring and controlling real-time mining activities using MineStar Fleet Management System Executing and adjusting the daily and shift plan to achieve safe production targets Optimizing haulage performance by managing equipment allocation and minimizing delays Coordinating material movement to ensure alignment with the mine plan Maintaining accurate fleet data and system integrity within MineStar Communicating with field operators, supervisors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations Responding to operational disruptions including emergencies to minimize downtime and maintain safe production flow Tracking performance metrics and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives Maintaining shift logs, reports, and operational records About you A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team Experience in surface mining operations, ideally within load and haul Previous experience in control room operations, dispatch, or similar role Experience using Fleet Management Systems, preferably MineStar Strong understanding of truck and shovel operations Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong communication and coordination skills High attention to detail and problem-solving capability What we offer A work environment where safety is always the number one priority.

Where you'll be working Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter, and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States.
