Job Summary: We are looking for a competent Billing specialist to undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the company’s revenues. You will aid the processing of invoices along with the issuing of necessary back-up details and provide direct, real-time support by having a strong understanding of company policies, processes, and department process flows.
Essential Job Functions: Daily review and processing of data files for monthly invoicing. Review and approve invoices for completeness and accuracy. Work with the leadership team to stay updated on product knowledge, internal processes and be informed of any changes in company/ departmental policies or procedures.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) related to department processes and systems. Assists with escalations and high-volume workloads. Provide knowledge-based support while monitoring activity and provide real-time support as needed. Assist leadership team with ensuring team meets company deadlines for month end close responsibilities.
Assist with departmental reporting processes. Respond to written communication (from internal and external sources) in a professional manner. Assist with updating and improving documentation of policies and procedures related to assigned responsibilities as well as those related to the department.
Specific Skills/ Attributes: Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel. Self-starter capable of adapting to meet fast paced and changing business needs. Ability to function in a collaborative, team-oriented environment .
Able to work effectively with all levels of management. Must demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of clerical work & handling monetary transactions.
- High school diploma/ GED required ( Associate degree in a business- related field preferred).
