Position Summary The Pharmacy Technician assist in accurately reading, interpreting and entering prescriptions into the computer system including calculation of doses and assignment of directions and accepting proper insurance payment in a timely fashion. Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for routing incomplete or unclear prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification and must also be able to enter incomplete prescription information once clarification has been obtained. Must be able to collaborate with a diverse team. We offer Work from Home flexibility if you meet standards. Adherence to HIPAA and governmental compliance is required in this role. The team works Monday-Friday, weekends off. Required Qualifications 6+ months of work experience as a pharmacy technician Must reside in Arizona Pharmacy Technician License and\or Certification as required by Arizona state law Preferred Qualifications Sound knowledge of medical terminology, drug names, standard dosages, dosage forms and delivery systems.
- Able to calculate proper dosing of prescriptions.
- Able to collaborate with others to understand a prescription.
- Able to utilize computer applications to enter data accurately and in line with production standards.
- Prefer to be able to recognize limitations on decision-making scope and be able to escalate issues falling outside of that scope.
- Ability to capture necessary information from the patient discussion while multi-tasking and toggling between numerous computer applications
- Prefer to have an understanding of basic Pharmacy law.
- Prefer to exhibit clear and professional oral and written communication skills including ability to call and receive calls from patients, vendors and medical personnel.
- Knowledge of government and patient assistance programs
- Understanding of commercial insurance concepts including drug cards and major medical benefits
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Education H.S. Diploma or equivalent Pharmacy Technician License and\or Certification as required by applicable state law Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $28.46 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
