Mid-morning, you'll facilitate a remote usability testing session with customers, observing how they interact with a new feature prototype. You'll take detailed notes, identify pain points
  • capture moments of delight that will inform design iterations. In the afternoon, reviewing their research plan and providing guidance on methodology selection. Throughout the day, you'll write up how your insights drive customer-obsessed product decisions. About the team Our UX Research team leads research for Alexa for shopping experiences globally spanning shopping AI Assistant and Alexa devices. We conduct best-in-class qualitative and quantitative research to understand how customers discover and purchase products through voice and conversational interfaces. We operate as a close-knit team where collaboration and transparency drive our work. We share insights broadly and keep stakeholders informed throughout the research process, enabling faster, more informed decisions that improve customer experiences. Our research directly influences product strategy and shapes how millions of customers shop with Alexa worldwide, making voice commerce more intuitive and delightful.
  • Bachelor's degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology
  • a related field - Experience in leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact - Experience (end to end) with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting) - Experience with lab-based user testing, remote testing, iterative prototype testing, survey design
  • usage of multiple methods within a study - Have a portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas)
  • Master's degree in Human Factors, HCDE
  • Cognitive Psychology - Knowledge of quantitative data analysis and statistics - Experience conducting and applying research in a global context - Experience working in a highly Agile/Scrum environment Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
