- Drive automation and platform modernization for HR Investigations at Amazon—helping transform how workplace concerns are reported, triaged, investigated
- resolved for 1.8 million Amazonians. As a Senior Product Manager - Tech in our HR Experience Tech (HRXT) team, you’ll lead product delivery for AI-powered automation initiatives and the migration of Investigations case management from legacy Salesforce infrastructure to Amazon’s modern platform—positioning the Investigations technology stack for convergence with Service Central, our next-generation AI-first HR platform. This is an opportunity to shape how Amazon applies AI and automation to one of HR’s most complex and sensitive domains. HR Investigations handles 250,000+ workplace concerns annually across operations and corporate populations—spanning policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation
- ethics matters. You’ll work across the full investigations lifecycle, identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve quality and consistency, accelerate resolution
- enable investigators to focus on the judgment-intensive work that matters most. You’ll work across a technology stack spanning case management, conversational AI, intelligent classification and routing, transcription and NLP, content management
- unified employee data platforms—coordinating across these systems to deliver end-to-end automation that maintains the high bar for accuracy, fairness
- confidentiality that workplace investigations demand. You’ll partner with Employee Relations leaders, legal and compliance stakeholders, engineering teams
- ML scientists to navigate the unique constraints of investigations technology while building the systems and processes that make investigations faster, more consistent
- more scalable. This role requires someone who can deliver immediate value through automation of current-state workflows while simultaneously supporting the platform migration from Salesforce (EXACT) to PXT CMS our own 1P build case management infrastructure. Every investment you make will be designed to align with Service Central’s architecture, ensuring Investigations technology is positioned for the converged future rather than creating rework. Key job responsibilities Drive product delivery for automation initiatives across the HR Investigations lifecycle—from intake and classification through investigation execution and case resolution—identifying and executing on the highest-impact opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve quality. Own feature roadmaps, sprint priorities
- launch plans for AI-powered investigation tools, managing the full delivery lifecycle from requirements through adoption and iteration. Support the migration of Investigations case management from EXACT (Salesforce) to PXT CMS, defining product requirements, mapping investigation-specific workflows
- coordinating with platform teams to ensure zero disruption to active investigations. Partner with Employee Relations and Employee Resource Center stakeholders to understand investigator workflows, validate automation opportunities, define accuracy thresholds
- ensure AI augments investigator judgment rather than replacing it. Collaborate with AI/ML teams to leverage conversational AI, natural language processing, intelligent classification
- large language models to automate investigative processes while maintaining the trust and accuracy that sensitive cases demand. Define and track success metrics for automation initiatives—adoption rates, time-saved per investigation, accuracy and consistency improvements, investigator satisfaction
- quality indicators. Gather and synthesize user feedback from investigators across EWRS (Operations) and GCER (Corporate) populations, translating pain points into prioritized product requirements and iterating rapidly. Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across engineering, ML science, ER/ERC business teams
- platform teams to deliver on aggressive timelines with executive visibility. Ensure all automation and platform migration investments are convergence-aligned with Service Central’s architecture, positioning Investigations to integrate natively with the unified platform. Navigate complex stakeholder environments involving legal, compliance
- employee relations teams where accuracy, confidentiality
- fairness are non-negotiable constraints. Identify and de-risk technical dependencies across multi-system integrations, ensuring business continuity is maintained at every phase of migration and automation rollout. A day in the life Your morning starts reviewing automation adoption metrics—you’re tracking how investigators are using AI-powered tools across intake, evidence gathering
- case documentation. You notice a spike in manual overrides for a specific concern category and dig into the data to understand whether it’s a classification accuracy issue or a workflow gap. You draft a ticket for the ML team with sample cases and propose a short-term routing fix while the model is retrained. Mid-morning, you join a sprint planning session with the engineering team to prioritize features for the next cycle. Investigators have been requesting automation support for a repetitive documentation task that currently takes 20 minutes per case. You’ve validated the opportunity through user interviews, defined the requirements
- are working with the tech lead to decompose it into shippable increments with clear acceptance criteria. After lunch, you run a working session with the PXT CMS platform team to map investigation-specific workflows from EXACT. You’ve documented the current-state evidence management flow and are designing the target-state that preserves all functionality while simplifying the UX and aligning with PXT CMS’s architecture. A key discussion emerges about handling in-flight investigations during cutover—you propose a phased approach and prepare a recommendation document. In the afternoon, you conduct a user acceptance testing session with investigators for the latest automation release. You observe how they interact with the AI-assisted features, note where the tool builds trust vs. creates friction
- document specific feedback items for the next iteration. You update the launch tracker and prepare your weekly status update for the Investigations QBR. You end your day in a cross-team sync with the broader HRXT product team, sharing what you’re learning about automation patterns in Investigations that could apply to other domains—the classification model architecture, the trust-building UX patterns for AI-assisted decisions
- the investigator feedback loops that drive continuous improvement. About the team The HR Experience Technology (HRXT) team is on a mission to fundamentally reshape HR work at Amazon.
