Job Title: Senior Scientists and Science Technicians Group 2 Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a Senior Scientists and Science Technicians Group 2 in support of a program whose initiative is aimed at combating evolving and emerging threats, supporting related exploitation and replication activities, and advancing operational rehearsal, exercise, wargaming, and counter system development.
Additionally, we are focusing on integration and experimentation, including Modeling and Simulation. Responsibilities
- This role requires an experienced physicist who will conduct advanced research into physical phenomena, develop theoretical models, and apply physics principles to complex military systems and simulations .
- The ideal candidate will contribute to mission-critical projects supporting Joint and Coalition exercises, weapon system development, and multi-domain operations analysis.
- Conduct research into physical phenomena and develop theories based on observation and experimental data Apply physical laws and theories to modeling and simulation systems engineering project Develop and validate physics-based models for Live, Virtual
- Constructive (LVC) simulation environments Support systems engineering modeling for concept of operations, behavioral analysis
- system architecture Perform fidelity analysis to determine appropriate models for accurate system-of-systems representation Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including systems engineers, operations research analysts
- software developers Provide technical expertise for digital transformation and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts Support multi-domain operations effectiveness experimentation and analysis Conduct trade studies and upfront systems engineering analysis Prepare technical reports, briefings
- documentation in accordance with contract requirements Support large-scale Joint exercises and Command Post Exercises (CPXs) as required Work collaboratively with government partners, industry vendors
- other contractors Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Physics or a closely related field is often required for research-intensive roles. 8+ years of experience or 12+ years relevant of experience in lieu of degree.
- Active TS/SCI clearance Desired: Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics
- related discipline Experience with defense modeling and simulation tools and environments Familiarity with LVC simulation architectures and integration Knowledge of military systems, weapon systems
- defense technology Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies Understanding of multi-domain operations concepts Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs or military exercises Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with data science, AI/ML applications to physics simulations " - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.

- Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
