Job Title: AFRICOM - Mobility Planning Specialist Job Category: Logistics Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular-Long Term Assignment Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Outside Continental US * * * The Opportunity: CACI has an immediate opening for a Mobility Planning Specialist to join our mission critical AFRICOM team in Stuttgart, Germany.

The Mobility Planning Specialist provides expert guidance on deployment, sustainment, and redeployment activities tied to exercise execution across Europe, Africa, and CONUS. This role ensures AFRICOM J37 exercises are fully resourced, feasible, and synchronized with Component and Joint Staff mobility processes.

The specialist enhances the command’s ability to employ forces across the theater while integrating innovative mobility concepts and adaptive logistics

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed deployment planning, including force flow validation, multimodal movement analysis (airlift, sealift, intra-theater moves), theater distribution, and equipment staging.
  • Advise exercise planners on mobility funding execution, contract oversight, cargo prioritization, and life-support requirements.
  • Integrate Component, Joint Logistics Enterprise, and interagency partners into the movement planning cycle.
  • Produce mobility-specific risk assessments and mitigation strategies addressing weather, basing limitations, infrastructure constraints, and partner-nation variables.
  • Incorporate artificial intelligence and machine learning tools for logistics forecasting, route optimization, and sustainment analysis.
  • Develop and refine mobility annexes, concept of support documents, TPFDD inputs, and deployment support products for Senior Leaders.
  • Participate in planning conferences, site surveys, and execution events to ensure real-time synchronization of mobility operations

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or related field and 10 years of relevant experience or 15 years of relevant experience. 7+ years of experience in mobility planning or Joint logistics.
  • Proficiency with JOPES, DEPs, TPFDD, and logistics systems.
  • Strong ability to work with multinational and interagency partners.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Desired: Master’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related discipline.
  • Experience with AI/ML integration in logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with AFRICOM AOR and operational environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce senior leader briefings and mobility documentation.
  • Prior experience supporting large-scale military exercises or operations. - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.

  • Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
