About the Function: Supply Chain & Manufacturing is where our brands are made, moved and delivered to the world. With over half of our people working across more than 100 sites, this is a complex, large-scale operation that brings together production, logistics, engineering and supplier partnerships. Job Posting Title Direct Import Associate About the role: · Provides critical support functions to the Order to Cash process across Diageo’s spirits business · Serves as a single point of contact for supply sites to deliver industry-leading customer service through collaboration, proactive order management and customer engagement · Acts as the liaison between our supply sites and our Customer Logistics teams in the support of service delivery to our customers across the NAM markets · Monitors and ensures timely flow of product from Diageo plants across the globe to support Canadian market Account/Key Stakeholder Responsibility: · Must be knowledgeable about Order to Cash processes and Import Route to Markets · Champion great service to our Distributors by collaboratively working across the functions · Ensure consistent delivery of product from the Diageo Supply sites to the Distributors · Proactively address and communicate issues that might impact delivery · Establish and continuously improve business relationships with Supplier contacts
- Handle appropriate communications and expectations · Lead regular collaborative meetings with key contacts within the supply chain (customer operations, importing supply centers) to drive efficiencies in the supply chain · Actively handle and support new product startups and product discontinuations · Drive continuous improvements in business processes via critical thinking, share standard methodologies, and ensure appropriate alignment with cross-functional teams Responsibility: · Handle an average annual volume of 2k in orders, 2M cases with NSV of $350M · Maintain, monitor, and influence the results of relevant key performance indicators across service, cost, cash and quality · Make sound business trade-off recommendations across cost, service, cash and quality to arrive at the most appropriate solution for the business · Provide critical thinking, sound analysis and appropriate decision making in support of both order management and project management activities (i.e. Net Sales Value, Billings) Key Outputs: · Ensure customers adhere to order guidelines and proactively recommend order management & process improvements to supply centers (route-to-market, order lead time, order qty) · Direct to Customer Imported products continue to play an ever-increasing important role in deliverance of Spirits Sales commitments. Ability to make sound business decisions against cost and service · Represent Customer Logistics in cross-functional meetings to craft and influence key critical business processes, such as innovation, system improvements, and logistics network. · Support the continued development and refinement of Customer Logistics processes and metrics to drive continuous improvements in service, cost, and quality. Experience / skills required: · 3+ years of experience in customer service, supply chain planning or logistics roles within the beverage alcohol industry or a fast-paced CPG company · Degree in supply chain, business management, or related fields · Experience in order management systems (preferably SAP) · Solid capabilities in MS Office Applications – particularly Excel · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal and external customers across various levels of the organization. · Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and manage customer expectations. · Proven analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills **Important** This job profile description must be reviewed and updated whilst creating job description content during the job requisition.
