Position Summary: Aetna Resources, LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Atlanta, GA: Staff Software Development Engineer to design, deliver, & drive key technical activities for software applications engineering projects across multiple technical environments.
Build industry-leading analytics, data, & technology platforms, delivering powerful solutions that inform network strategy & design, improve network performance & provider engagement, develop new provider offerings, & enhance consumer experience.
Evaluate & recommend tools, technologies, & processes to ensure the highest quality application design. Responsible for implementation & support of technologies that enable enterprise environments to meet service level agreements while positioning to be responsive & proactive to changing business requirements.
Responsible for customizing, maintaining &/or developing code to support operations by building infrastructure environments for development & production. Independently design &/or code efficient, cost-effective application program solutions (develops new &/or reuses existing code using program development software &/or integrates purchased solutions).
Perform analyses of structured & unstructured data to solve business problems, utilizing advanced statistical techniques & mathematical analyses. Analytical modeling & statistical analyses to determine the effectiveness of different business interventions.
Responsible for customizing, maintaining &/or developing code to support operations for Data Intelligence by building web infrastructure environments for development & production web application server environments, including Microsoft IIS to support application deployment.
Work on projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments & disciplines, that have system wide impact & that may integrate across the organization. Create technical designs for a new application or enhancements. Monitor overall capacity/performance of application & web server environment & perform necessary diagnostic & tuning for Microsoft IIS servers.
Tune web infrastructure components for optimal performance for both system & application goals. Participate in development of operational tool sets & definition of methodologies. Support stress testing & monitoring of applications deployed in the web infrastructure.
Consult as necessary to assist in identifying performance & behavior issues with web applications & their impact to the application server behavior. Work closely with systems architect on application system design & user interface needs & objectives.
Participate in all phases of development & implementation. Provide support on product specific technical questions & reviews of business requirements. Participate in small to large complex project initiatives with peers & business partners & provide guidance & recommendations on solutions Software Troubleshooting.
Diagnose, isolate & debug software problems & performs problem resolution. Capture necessary diagnostic information (i.e. traces, dumps). Utilize all the available diagnostic tools including interacting with the users & other technical areas.
Participate in the development of tactical & long-term strategies for web infrastructure hardware/software solutions taking into consideration performance, reliability, functionality, scalability & cost. Provide input to technology strategies in support of business requirements.
Abide by & support current security best practices, compliance & regulatory regulations. Apply foundational level knowledge of Web Internet Security & base level knowledge of business areas, understanding of .Net & Cloud concepts & architecture, analytical & debugging skills with proven experience in diagnostic & troubleshooting experience in software & enterprise environments. .Net development experience & web/systems engineering experience in distributed enterprise environments.

Requirements
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering
- a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following:
- GIT and .Net;
- XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript;
- Azure;
- Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles;
- Frameworks: Angular, Ajax, and Bootstrap;
- REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs;
- JIRA, Rally, MS SQL Server;
- Domain support for healthcare or retail organization;
- Developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions;
- Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases;
- Contributing to large-scale applications development, data science, or data analytics projects;
- Provide inputs on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability considerations to ensure that the overall solution meets the desired objectives;
- Experience in building efficient data pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services(SSIS) and schedule them; and
- Understand and drive the release management and proficiency in addressing the production issues. Pay Range: $118,450.00/year to $236,900.00/year. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
