  • Amazon MGM Studios (AMS) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is looking for a Finance Manager to support the business and finance teams, with a focus on the Unscripted and Consumer Products & Licensing (CP&L) business. This role will focus on both operational finance
  • where you will interface directly with business operations, and core financial planning cycles, including Month-End Close, Quarterly Guidance forecasts and Annual Operating Plans. Further, this role will lead FP&A efforts around special projects, such as M&A and business/system integrations. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, solid business judgement capable of driving an organization to the right results, strong business partnership building, exceptional excel/systems skills, keen attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills. They will have demonstrated success in a fast-paced, complex, global, results-oriented environment. The team needs a self-starter, who is able to work efficiently and autonomously. They must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically and manage multiple competing priorities effectively. Key job responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary finance business partner for the Consumer Products & Licensing (CP&L) and Unscripted businesses, providing strategic financial guidance, operational finance support, and decision-making insights.
  • Lead month end, quarterly, annual operating financial planning for CP&L and Unscripted business.
  • Ensure data is accurately reflected in financial planning systems,
  • Drive process automation to streamline current processes and enhance financial controllership
  • Analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience - Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
