ROLE SUMMARY: The selected candidate for this role will be responsible for assisting the Europe based Post Trade controllership team in performing their monthly close and entity reporting and control activities . WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: · Preparation of month-end accounts as well as ledger closure and review processes to ensure accuracy of Income Statement and Balance Sheet and adhere to all group reporting deadlines. · Perform financial transactions in the general ledger and sub-ledgers, including recording and verifying the accuracy of the financial data. · Work collaboratively with the wider finance teams to ensure the transactions are properly accounted and reported. · Take ownership in preparing financial transactions, reconciliations, and analysis.. · Responsible for standardizing processes, documenting and building resilience within the team. · Responsible for onboarding of additional scope and aligning the process according to the TOM. · Developing standardised training documents to ensure onboarding plan is in place for new joiners. · Ensure that the team adheres to the Group's policies and procedures and ensure that accurate financial controls are in place. · Ensuring the team meets tight reporting timelines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality. · Responsible for driving the teams for crafting efficiency and onboarding new activities. · Support the external audit process for companies within scope including collaborating closely with the external auditors to address their questions and requests (CAS). · Support Management Reporting processes including analysis and reports. · Adherence to internal controls as per group policies and the financial control framework. · Work collaboratively in identification and support of current continuous improvement activities. .
Support Group projects and ensure seamless implementation of any new systems and processes. . The role will be expected to partner with Entity Accountants, Financial Controller, Group Reporting, and Statutory Reporting teams and be a key member of the Finance Accounting and Control team.

We take a hybrid approach to the workplace and this role is blended. ESSENTIAL SKILLS · Having professional accounting degree with proven experience of 5 years in General Accounting. Applicants with part qualifications will be considered if they possess the relevant experience. .
Strong people and stakeholder management track record. · Experience in a similar role. Background in finance shared services would be an added advantage. · Tenacious. Ability to identify, chase down issues and follow through to conclusion. · Technical accounting, particularly UK GAAP and IFRS. · Experience of using SAP, Oracle, Oracle Fusion and Blackline accounting systems will be an added advantage. .
Background in financial services or post trade. . Exposure in working in a ERP implementation project and related change management. . Financial process improvement, standardisation and documentation. . Experience in working with teams based across geographies.
