The pay range is $135,000.00 - $243,000.00 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. We are seeking an innovative and strategic leader to serve as Director, Corporate Giving.

This role is responsible for advancing and optimizing Target's corporate giving portfolio, ensuring philanthropic investments align with the company's Community & Stakeholder Engagement priorities, Corporate Affairs objectives, stakeholder expectations, reputation goals, and philanthropic framework.

This leader will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for national philanthropic partnerships, portfolio governance, impact measurement, and investment effectiveness. Working closely with the Foundation Director and cross-functional partners, the Director will strengthen Target's approach to evaluating community investments, measuring outcomes, and continuously improving the effectiveness of the company's giving decisions and philanthropic partnerships.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in philanthropy and community engagement with strong portfolio management, stakeholder engagement, and measurement capabilities. They are skilled at building partnerships, influencing senior leaders, and translating social impact investments into meaningful outcomes for communities and Target.

As Director, Corporate Giving you will: Corporate Giving Portfolio Leadership: Lead the ongoing refinement and execution of Target's corporate giving portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's philanthropic framework, Community & Stakeholder Engagement priorities, Corporate Affairs objectives, and reputation goals.

Partner closely with the Foundation Director to optimize philanthropic investments, strengthen portfolio governance, and maximize community impact. Impact, Measurement & Investment Effectiveness: Oversee the development of impact measurement frameworks, assessment tools, and reporting mechanisms that evaluate the effectiveness of Target's philanthropic investments and partnerships.

Leverage data-driven insights to inform giving decisions, improve portfolio performance, and demonstrate measurable outcomes. Partnership & Stakeholder Leadership: Lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for national philanthropic partnerships and investment effectiveness.

Build and maintain strong relationships with nonprofit, community, and internal stakeholders to advance Target's community impact priorities and strengthen stakeholder engagement. Risk & Reputation Management: Monitor emerging community needs, stakeholder expectations, and societal trends that may influence Target's philanthropic portfolio.

Partner across Corporate Affairs to ensure community investments support enterprise priorities, mitigate risk, and reinforce Target's reputation and purpose. Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About You Four-year degree in Public Affairs, Business, Public Policy, Nonprofit Management, Social Impact, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in corporate philanthropy, social impact, community engagement, foundation leadership, stakeholder engagement, or related fields.

Proven success managing complex philanthropic portfolios, partnerships, and community investments. Experience developing impact measurement frameworks, assessment methodologies, and performance reporting systems. Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across a matrixed organization.

Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate insights into action. Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

Deep understanding of the nonprofit, philanthropic, and community impact landscape. This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
