Role Purpose The Managing Director leads the firm’s global approach to third-party and supply chain resilience assurance, ensuring external dependencies support enterprise resilience objectives. The role is accountable for the framework, standards, assessment methodology, validation, reporting and remediation oversight across third parties, strategic suppliers and supply chain dependencies.
It provides enterprise-wide oversight of supplier resilience across the full lifecycle, ensuring contractual requirements, due diligence, assurance activity, testing evidence and remediation actions are risk-based, consistent and regulator-ready.
The role partners closely with procurement, legal, resilience, business, technology and risk functions, and serves as a senior engagement point for regulators, clients and critical suppliers. Key Responsibilities Framework, Strategy & Governance Define and maintain global frameworks, standards and control environment for supplier resilience assurance Establish consistent approaches to assessment, evidence, reporting and remediation Lead annual assurance strategy aligned to critical services, outsourcing and supply chain dependencies Maintain governance across central and business-owned supplier relationships Contracting, Requests & Reporting Embed resilience requirements into supplier contracts, renewals and governance processes Partner with legal and procurement on contractual clauses, evidence standards and recovery expectations Oversee responses to client, regulatory and internal ad-hoc requests Deliver clear, insight-led reporting on supplier resilience, risks and remediation Assessment & Assurance Lead global methodology for supplier resilience assessments and due diligence Ensure risk-based prioritisation based on criticality, dependency and exposure Oversee evidence reviews, attestations, workshops and deep-dive assessments Translate outcomes into clear risk insights, actions and management decisions Validation, Testing & Remediation Oversee validation of supplier resilience through testing evidence and joint exercises Ensure alignment to business services, scenarios and recovery objectives Drive remediation plans with clear ownership, timelines and governance Track closure and escalate systemic issues, delays or concentration risks Policy, Compliance & Assurance Ensure alignment with internal policy, outsourcing and regulatory requirements Support audit, assurance and regulatory reviews Maintain complete, defensible supplier records and documentation Innovation, Tooling & AI Drive adoption of automation, workflow tools and AI across supplier assurance Enhance data capture, reporting, analytics and remediation tracking Enable a scalable, data-driven supplier resilience capability Emerging Risk Integration Incorporate geopolitical, cyber, operational and supply chain risks into assurance activities Monitor regulatory and industry developments Continuously evolve methodologies and assessment approaches Stakeholder & External Engagement Engage senior stakeholders, regulators, clients and critical suppliers Present supplier risk themes, assurance outcomes and remediation priorities Drive accountability across internal teams and supplier ecosystem Leadership Lead and develop a global supplier resilience assurance team Build capability across assessment, contracting, testing and risk management Foster collaboration across resilience, procurement, legal and risk disciplines Scope of Responsibility Global remit across all jurisdictions, business lines and supplier populations Oversight of resilience across critical suppliers, outsourcing arrangements and supply chain dependencies Accountability for standards, assessment methodology, reporting and remediation oversight Engagement with senior executives, regulators, clients and suppliers Experience & Qualifications Senior leadership experience in third-party risk, supplier assurance, resilience or related disciplines Proven delivery of enterprise-wide supplier assurance programmes in regulated environments Strong regulatory engagement and executive reporting experience Experience with automation, analytics and tooling in risk management Degree required; relevant certifications preferred Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities Expertise in third-party and supply chain resilience methodologies Strong understanding of operational resilience and dependency management Ability to translate complex assessment outcomes into actionable insights Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills Strategic mindset with strong execution discipline Ability to drive change across complex global supplier ecosystems Salary Range: $170,000 - $252,500 Annual The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
