  • Jump Trading is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive
  • people-focused Facilities Manager to own the maintenance, operations
  • overall performance of our current and future offices in New York City. You will ensure the reliability of essential infrastructure, the day-to-day functionality of the office

  • building staff who keep our offices running seamlessly. You will also play an active part in the design and eventual operation of a new 100,000 sq ft office in a tier one NYC building. We operate our offices for our own people—no clients, no shareholders—simply to make the best possible workday for our fellow coworkers.
  • What You’ll Do
  • Own the daily performance, availability
  • reliability of all office and critical facility systems—including UPS, BMS/EPMS, backup generators, transfer switches (ATS/STS)
  • HVAC/cooling equipment (CRAC/CRAH, chillers).
  • Run preventative and corrective maintenance programs—daily walkthroughs, load tests, inspections, and emergency drills such as generator testing and UPS failover—to prevent downtime and extend asset life.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for critical events, driving rapid incident response and using maintenance data and system-health trends to continuously improve reliability.
  • Build, lead, and develop a team of internal and external supervisors, engineers, and technicians—setting goals, coaching for growth, and driving a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning to build bench strength.
  • Own relationships with building management and vendors—running RFPs, consolidations, and contract negotiations, and holding partners accountable to measurable performance.
  • Schedule and supervise outsourced maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, capacity expansions, and commissioning, ensuring alignment with approved MOPs, SOPs, and change-management controls.
  • Provide in-house expertise on office maintenance, renovations, and buildouts, and strategic analysis of any new leases or subleases.
  • Lead commercial compliance (fire and building code, FDNY, OSHA, current Local Law) and maintain thorough records of assets, maintenance logs, inspections, and operating procedures.
  • Manage the facilities budget and capex planning, identifying automation and AI-driven efficiencies and developing SOPs that scale across global offices.
  • Actively participate in the design of the new 100,000 sq ft office to ensure a seamless transition of the facilities program.
  • Manage and respond to service tickets to prioritize and coordinate responses to staff and completion of work.
  • Partner across Workplace Services, IT, Security, Operations
  • Legal to keep critical trading infrastructure (power, internet, HVAC, backup systems) highly reliable and serve as the primary point of contact for critical facilities issues.
  • Perform handyman duties as needed (small repairs, painting, simple installations, lifting, onsite presence during installations) and coordinate office moves to preserve continuity of design and operations.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • 10-15+ years of experience in facilities management, building operations, or workplace infrastructure, preferably in an office environment with mission-critical systems.
  • Direct experience operating a 50,000+ sq ft commercial office in NYC (Class A or B), including HVAC, MEP, life-safety, and base-building coordination.
  • 2–3+ years of management experience leading a high-performing team—setting goals, supporting daily execution, and coaching for growth.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, UPS, HVAC/cooling equipment, fire suppression, and transfer switches.
  • Demonstrated ownership of multi-vendor portfolios and large facilities budgets, with proven experience in vendor management, scheduling, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong working knowledge of NYC commercial building codes, FDNY/OSHA requirements, current Local Law, and energy-efficiency standards.
  • Familiarity with building management systems (preferably Schneider EcoStruxure).
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems supporting trading operations, plus Microsoft Office, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and troubleshoot systems during emergencies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven recommendations, weighing risks, costs, and impact against high-level intent and long-term implications.
  • Enjoys working autonomously with little direction, remains solution-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments as a naturally curious self-starter.
  • Ability to communicate with all employees for upcoming work and the possible impact on the office environment.
  • Reliable and predictable availability, with willingness to stagger shifts, work off-hours and some weekends, and be on-call during emergencies.
  • Nice to Have
  • Certification in facilities management (e.g., FMP, CFM, IFMA, OSHA 30, FDNY F-89/T-89/S-95) or equivalent technical training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working in a financial, trading, or similarly fast-paced industry.
