Job Summary The Manager, Portfolio Management, Specialty Solutions is responsible for providing strategic leadership of the Urology vertical within the Meetings and Events team.
This Manager serves as the key liaison between external partners and internal stakeholders. This role is responsible for overseeing pharmaceutical-sponsored initiatives and leading a team who supports the strategic planning and execution of large-scale national conferences, while ensuring the highest standards of compliance, financial accuracy, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities Lead end-to-end management of statements of work, contract development, HCP consulting engagements, and honoraria processing, ensuring accurate documentation and audit readiness. Partner with Accounting and Legal to oversee invoicing, external payments, forecasting, and third-party contracting, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency.
Provide strategic leadership for two national conferences, including event vision, content development, logistics, and vendor management. Plan and execute portfolio initiatives to drive financial performance, improve KPIs, and support team development.
Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering high performance, professional growth, and operational excellence. Oversee budget management and vendor negotiations to deliver cost-effective, high-quality programs aligned with business objectives.
Serve as the primary liaison between pharmaceutical partners, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant execution of all sponsored programs and financial activities. Drive continuous improvement in processes, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to pharmaceutical compliance standards.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, management, event planning or a related field, preferred 7+ years of experience in operations, healthcare or pharmaceuticals, preferred. Strong leadership skills, including proven success in managing cross-functional teams and ideally with other people leaders.
Strong business acumen, including strategic planning (short, mid, and long-term initiatives) and budget management, with a drive for results. Exceptional collaboration, partnership, and relationship-building skills, with a customer-centric approach and the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels and with external partners.
