All hiring decisions are made by our hiring team. About the Role Float is looking for an exceptional Account Executive to join our growing sales team. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue at Float as we move up market. We are looking for someone who has proven and exceptional impact driving revenue in past sales roles and is eager to employ a consultative, cooperative, and solution-oriented strategy, blending strategic insight with highly efficient execution.

This is a remote role based in Quebec. You'll work primarily from home, with occasional travel to our Toronto office for team gatherings, key meetings, and moments of in-person connection and collaboration. As an Account Executive you will: Use a consultative sales approach to guide customers through the sales process, from initial contact to close.

Focus on adding value and providing strategic advice rather than just selling products or services. Acquire and form relationships with new customers in the mid-market range with 20–500+ employees. You'll pursue both individual and team sales goals and consistently hit your monthly targets.

Prioritize and maintain pipelines while owning the sales cycle from start to finish — from discovery to demo to negotiation to close. Approach all deals with a customer-obsessed mentality. Develop relationships and uncover the needs of multiple key stakeholders to find value moments.

Be the voice of the customer and work closely with our Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated customer experience. Provide feedback from the market to drive product innovation and improvement. Share your ideas and help us build a world class Sales team!

Work with the Finance teams of some of the fastest growing companies in Canada across a variety of industries. You'll be great in this role if: You're bilingual. You're fluent in both French and English — written and spoken — and can move effortlessly between the two with prospects, customers, and colleagues across Canada.

You've got the experience. To be successful in this role, we're looking for 2–4 years of B2B tech-sales experience, ideally in a high-growth start up environment. You've got an understanding of the market. You've worked with accounting/finance related products, or have worked closely with finance leaders.

You're commercially minded, business savvy and no stranger to an ROI mindset. You're results-driven. You have a reputation for exceeding your goals and sales targets, and are motivated by new challenges. You're willing to make tough decisions to achieve broader business goals and outcomes.

You're an outstanding communicator. You know how to cater your communication to your audience to gain buy-in, and build commitment with customers. When pitching ideas, you are confident, clear, and organized in your delivery. You have impeccable writing and speaking skills, and can effortlessly connect with any team in an organization.

You're empathetic and approachable. You quickly build rapport and credibility with prospective customers, and people are naturally drawn to you. You are a skilled listener who is able to understand and synthesize diverse perspectives and opinions.

You're customer obsessed; translating customer needs into product offerings is your speciality. You're adaptable and resilient. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, move quickly, and know how to pivot when faced with objections. Finding creative ways to problem solve and work through obstacles is fun for you.

You also know when to slow down and be strategic and thoughtful. You're an owner. You set a high bar for yourself and others, and enjoy fostering a culture of excellence and tenacity. You're eager to roll-up your sleeves to get building and create immediate impact.

This role won't be a fit if: You're not driven by the vision of building Canada's top business finance platform You prefer predictable routines over the dynamic, independent nature of startup culture You aren't comfortable working independently, remotely, or asynchronously You aren't a team player Resilience and openness to direct feedback aren't your strengths You aren't comfortable taking calculated risks You have an ego Why You Should Join Work at one of Canada's fastest-growing fintech companies Make a real impact in a high-autonomy, high-growth role Collaborate with an ambitious and supportive team Competitive compensation, equity options, and benefits Hybrid work model – we are based in Toronto with in-office days for connection and collaboration Enjoy catered team lunches every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Bring your pup to our dog-friendly office Thrive in a high-trust, high-performance culture where your work truly matters In Short At Float, you’ll thrive if you’re bold, curious, and eager to make a real impact.

We're building something special—and having a lot of fun along the way. If you’re excited to build, grow, and win together, we’d love to meet you. We’re committed to building a workplace that’s welcoming and accessible for everyone. If you need any accommodations during the hiring process or once you join Float, just let us know!

You can reach out to Vic ( victoria@floatfinancial.com ), and we’ll work with you to make sure you have what you need to succeed.
