Key job responsibilities As a Software Development Engineer in the Payments Security organization, you will: - be responsible for designing, architecting, developing, testing, deploying and delivering scalable, multi-tiered software applications or services using modern languages, design patterns, frameworks and technologies. - work very closely with security engineering teams to design and implement security features and multi-tier distributed services. - estimate engineering effort, plan implementation

You will be responsible for building automation software and launching it for Amazon to protect against cyber security crimes. About the team Your primary focus is building and shipping production software that automates security processes for Amazon Payments. On any given day, you might be writing code for a new automation pipeline, pairing with a Product Security engineer to understand a workflow you're automating

Your internal stakeholders are Product Security engineers who perform security reviews and Payments service teams who interact with security processes as part of shipping their products.   • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 4+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
  • Master's degree in computer science or equivalent - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing
