Job Description The Payments Technology Strategy Lead will be responsible for driving and supporting global payments technology transformation programs. A key focus will be continuing to help shape and improve the current Program and Project Management procedures to better align them with the way teams are working in Agile and reduce manual touch points.
They will support the implementation and adoption of the current procedures through strong teaching, training, coaching and mentoring throughout the organization. This role demands excellent communication, collaboration and diplomacy skills in order to guide, influence and convince others in their adoption of the mindset
Responsibilities
- Help drive the formalization and enhancement of the Payments technology strategy.
- Drive execution of the strategy across all teams, including business and operations partners.
- Lead the change management activities related to the strategy, particularly around agile ways of working and new and improved processes.
- Communicate the strategy, and track progress achieving strategic targets.
- Create recognition and awareness of internal success stories.
- Ensure alignment of the annual budget to the tech strategy.
- Help develop new strategic ideas and turn them into investable initiatives.
- Assess potential vendors and strategic partners to help implement or extend strategic objectives.
- Drive external assessment of competitors, partners, and general technology trends.
- Identify innovative ways to use technology to drive additional value to the business.
- Partner with the business to develop strategic partnerships.
- Represent Payments Technology with partners and in various forums.
- Required Skills Strong leadership strategy skills, with a successful track record of defining and executing technology strategy: Exceptional skills organizing and visualizing complex topics in an easy-to-understand way. (Please be prepared to share examples of previous work.) Proven track-record of successful execution of strategy, including continuous follow-through and resolution of issues.
- Must have experience of following strategy through to a successful completion.
- Experience communicating across all levels of the organization, including strong executive communication skills.
- Ability to grasp complex topics quickly, and to work through the details independently from a high-level concept.
- Proven track-record of influencing senior partners across the organization, and negotiating to achieve win-win outcomes.
- Ability to develop relationships across the Payments leadership team and to put in place tools and processes to track status and challenges while minimizing overhead and distraction for the team.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) in a concise and yet in-depth manner.
- Track record of finding solutions to complex problems through critical thinking, engagement and collaboration Ability to thrive in an environment with a high degree of change and delivery pressure Driven personality with ability to self-organize work around goals and measured results
- still being a team player who is able to inspire others for continuous improvement Qualifications: 5+ years in technology strategy role, preferably from a consulting or strategic advisory role. 5+ years experience with working with key stakeholders including Senior management business reporting, communication
- presentations 5+ years experience with data analysis 3+ years experience with process analysis with business plan development.
- Proficient in Microsoft office Excellent presentation skills (written and verbal) AI experience is a plus Education: Bachelor’s degree
