- As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will own and drive quality systems across the full hardware development and production lifecycle — from early prototypes through subassembly builds and into volume production at our contract manufacturer. You'll work closely with our mechanical, electrical, embedded software

- deviation/waiver processes Documentation & Work Instructions - Author and maintain clear, accurate work instructions, assembly procedures
- inspection checklists for the production floor - Ensure documentation is version-controlled and synchronized with engineering changes - Partner with engineering to enforce Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles Contract Manufacturer Partnership - Serve as a key quality interface with contractors — conducting audits, reviewing quality plans
- driving resolution of production issues - Travel to CM facilities as needed to support builds and resolve quality escapes - Establish quality metrics and reporting cadences with CM leadership Reliability & Compliance - Lead or support DFMEA/PFMEA activities to proactively identify and mitigate failure modes - Support product safety and compliance activities (UL, CE, RoHS, UN38.3 for battery, etc.) - Drive reliability testing planning and execution, including environmental stress screening (ESS) and accelerated life testing (ALT) About the team Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is building capable, safe

- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures - 5+ years of quality engineering experience in a hardware product company (consumer electronics, robotics, medical devices
- similar) - Hands-on experience with quality systems in a contract manufacturing environment - Proficiency with inspection tools, metrology
