Senior Hardware Infrastructure Capacity Planner
Top focus
Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence . As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads.
When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster. We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe. About the Role At Crusoe, the Capacity Planning & Efficiency team operates at the critical intersection of all Crusoe products, services, and underlying physical infrastructure.
As the Senior Hardware Capacity and Supply Chain Planner, you will own the end-to-end physical hardware forecasting, supply alignment, and allocation planning for our rapidly expanding global infrastructure footprint. This role bridges the gap between long-range infrastructure engineering engineering models and execution-focused global supply chain and procurement metrics.
You will act as the structural bridge coordinating Bill of Materials (BOM) pipelines, vendor hardware lead times, and data center site readiness against complex capacity demand models. Your mission is to ensure Crusoe has the exact compute, storage, and networking hardware assets needed, precisely when and where they are required, directly supporting Crusoe’s mission to align the future of computing with environmental sustainability.
What You'll Be Working On Hardware Lifecycle & Supply Planning: Build, execute, and scale hardware allocation models, mapping long-range customer capacity requirements to physical server, rack, and component procurement cycles. Supply Chain & Lead-Time Integration: Partner deeply with Global Supply Chain and Procurement to track vendor lead times, manage manufacturing horizons, and preemptively mitigate component shortage risks.
Data Center Execution Planning: Collaborate with Data Center Engineering and Field Operations to align physical rack delivery schedules, power allocations, and network availability constraints with upcoming customer deployments. BOM & Component Sourcing Forecasts: Translate high-level compute and storage demands into discrete, actionable Component-level Bill of Materials forecasts (CPUs, GPUs, memory, storage fabrics, and custom networking silicons).
Utilization & Inventory Modeling: Develop data-driven models to optimize buffer stock levels, monitor work-in-progress (WIP) deployments, and track total equipment capitalization metrics across the entire fleet. Cross-Functional Optimization: Review ongoing hardware pipeline variances with Finance, Product Management, and Engineering to continuously tune capital expenditures (CapEx) against utilization targets.
What You'll Bring to the Team Proven Supply/Hardware Capacity Domain Expertise: 3+ years of experience in Infrastructure Supply Planning, Hardware Planning, Global Supply Chain, or Operations Engineering within a massive scale technical network environment.
Hyperscaler or High-Performance Computing (HPC) Experience: Direct experience navigating the supply chains, hardware lifecycle stages, or procurement dynamics of a public cloud hyperscaler or large-scale high-performance computing network. Technical Infrastructure Literacy: Solid foundational understanding of modern server system architectures, enterprise hardware components (compute, memory, storage topologies), and typical data center power/space variables.
Advanced Quantitative & Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in building forecasting sheets, predictive inventory models, or mathematical optimization models to parse hardware lead times and deployment risks. Excellent Cross-Functional Execution: A proven ability to distill complex engineering designs into clear supply requirements for vendors and procurement partners, and vice versa.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Operations Research, Management Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent quantitative discipline. Bonus Points Direct experience managing supply constraints and vendor pipelines specifically for high-performance AI infrastructure (e.g., NVIDIA accelerated platforms and specialized networking frameworks).
Experience defining, building, or implementing custom Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integrations or automated hardware asset management software workflows. A strong passion for clean energy, data center power grid optimizations, and driving structural sustainability in the tech sector
