- production, partnering closely with Battery, Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, Software, Reliability, Manufacturing
- Quality Engineering teams. As a Battery Test Engineer, you will own battery pack and PCBA level testing from requirements through final test reporting. You will work cross functionally with engineering stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into test objectives and pass/fail criteria, develop test plans and procedures, build or configure test setups, complete test readiness activities, execute testing, analyze results
- communicate findings. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical judgment, structured troubleshooting
- the ability to take ambiguous test needs and turn them into repeatable, well-documented test campaigns. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder)

- Quality teams to collect and understand test requirements. - Translate product and subsystem requirements into test objectives, test cases, procedures, operating conditions
- measurable pass/fail criteria. - Develop and maintain test plans for battery packs, PCBAs, battery management electronics

- reliability testing at the battery pack and PCBA levels. - Monitor testing, identify abnormal behavior, troubleshoot test setup and hardware issues
- drive root cause investigations when failures occur. - Analyze test data using engineering analysis tools and scripts to identify trends, anomalies, performance margins
- potential failure mechanisms. - Clearly distinguish product failures from test equipment, instrumentation, software
- procedural issues. - Document test results, deviations, failures
- engineering conclusions with strong data traceability. - Generate final test reports summarizing test configuration, methodology, results, pass/fail assessment, anomalies, conclusions
- recommended next steps. - Present results and technical findings to engineering stakeholders and support decisions on hardware readiness, design changes

- Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systems - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering
- a related technical field. - 3+ years of experience in hardware test, validation, electrical test, battery testing
- a related engineering discipline. - Experience with electrical laboratory equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, DMMs, DAQs, battery cyclers
- similar instrumentation. - Experience analyzing engineering test data and communicating technical conclusions. - Experience troubleshooting electrical hardware, test equipment, instrumentation
- automated test systems. - Experience documenting test procedures, results, failures
- engineering findings.
- Experience testing lithium-ion battery packs, battery modules, cells
- battery management systems. - Experience with PCBA level functional, electrical, characterization
- environmental testing. - Understanding of battery performance parameters including capacity, DCIR, SOC, cell balancing, thermal behavior
- protection functions. - Experience with environmental testing including thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, vibration, shock
- reliability testing. - Experience with Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW
- similar tools for test automation and data analysis. - Experience performing structured root cause analysis on hardware or test system failures. - Experience working in aerospace, automotive, energy storage
