Job Title Head of Finance Indian Subcontinent Job Description Job title: Head of Finance Indian Subcontinent Location : Gurgaon, Bharti Worldmark Your role: The Head of Finance Indian Subcontinent is a critical role as India is a key growth market that requires strong finance leadership from both a finance business partner perspective, as well as a license to operate / compliance perspective.
The main remit of the role is to drive sustainable business value and robust financial governance across the zone. The job incumbent will act as a strategic Finance Business Partner to the Zone Leader and Leadership team, translating business, market regulatory, and operational developments into clear financial insights, disciplined decision-making, and executable performance actions.
Job Responsibilities: Leads the strategic financial direction of the zone, ensuring that financial strategies are aligned with the overall corporate vision and driving the long-term growth and profitability of the organization. Serves as a key member of the zone leadership team, providing expert financial guidance and strategic insights to influence critical business decisions, shape corporate strategy, and achieve financial objectives.
Drives the strategic and operational financial planning process for the zone, including AOP support to the business, rolling forecasts, scenario planning, and performance / business reviews. Drives revenue growth, margin expansion, cost productivity and profitable market share development across businesses, customer segments, and sales channels.
Supports key commercial decisions on pricing, tender strategy, sales channels, customer lifetime value, strategic deals, partnerships, financing solutions, and investment allocation. Ensures a strong and efficient internal control environment and high quality of financial statements across the zone.
Drives month-end close discipline, reporting quality, standardization, automation and simplification across finance processes. Drives working capital discipline across receivables, inventory, order book quality, revenue recognition, and cash acceleration initiatives.
Leads cross-functional teams in the development of financial models and business cases for high-impact projects, ensuring that all assumptions are rigorously tested and that recommendations are aligned with the company’s long-term strategic priorities.
Ensures the organization’s financial practices adhere to the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and corporate governance, working closely with audit, compliance, and legal teams to manage financial risks and address regulatory requirements.
Leads finance transformation and organizational improvements, including digital finance, analytics and process simplification. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, board members, and external partners, ensuring that financial perspectives are integrated into all major business decisions and that the finance function is viewed as a strategic partner.
Develops a high-performing zone finance organization, with clear accountabilities, succession planning and capability building. Mentors and develops finance managers and specialists within the organization, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning, and ensuring that the finance team is equipped to support the company’s growth and innovation objectives at the highest levels.
You're the right fit if: Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline. A professional finance qualification would be a plus. Deep understanding of medtech / health systems / health technology. 8+ years of broad-based finance leadership experience, including operational, commercial, and strategic finance roles in a complex matrix organization.
Strong experience across FP&A, business partnering, accounting, internal control, statutory reporting, tax, treasury, audit, and commercial finance domains. Experience in regional, zonal or global business partnering roles. Experience having built engaged teams, and developed talents and succession plans.
