- Retail Business Services (RBS) supports Amazon's Retail business growth worldwide by enhancing customer and selling partner experiences. The tech team in RBS develops automation products that leverages Machine/Deep Learning to scale execution of highly complex tasks that currently require human cognitive skills. Our products serve thousands of internal users and impact millions of selling partners globally. We're seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead the design of next-generation AI-powered automation products within Retail Business Services (RBS). You'll own the end-to-end user experience for enterprise-scale solutions that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI technologies to automate complex business processes across Amazon. This is a high-impact role where you'll shape how internal users and selling partners interact with cutting-edge GenAI capabilities. Key job responsibilities -Lead end-to-end UX design for AI/ML-powered automation products — from discovery research through high-fidelity prototypes and production handoff -Define interaction patterns and design frameworks for LLM-powered interfaces (conversational AI, agent-based workflows, human-in-the-loop review systems) -Conduct and synthesize user research to identify pain points, validate design hypotheses
- drive data-informed design decisions -Partner closely with Product Managers, Applied Scientists
- Software Engineers to translate complex technical capabilities into intuitive user experiences -Establish and maintain scalable design systems that ensure consistency across multiple automation tools and surfaces -Present design work and rationale to senior leadership, advocating for the customer perspective -Mentor junior designers and raise the UX bar across the organization -Define UX success metrics and work with data teams to measure design impact About the team Retail Business Services (RBS) supports Amazon's Retail business growth worldwide by enhancing customer and selling partner experiences. - 10+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience - Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design - Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices - Experience shipping innovative, successful consumer products
- Master's degree or above in design, human-computer interaction (HCI)
- Master's degree - Experience designing for AI/ML products — conversational interfaces, recommendation systems, automation workflows
