Citi is looking for a Network Interchange & Fraud Performance Manager to lead the analysis, optimization, and strategic development of interchange economics and fraud management across its credit card portfolios. In this senior role, you will partner with Product, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to drive revenue growth, manage fraud losses, and strengthen payment network performance.
Your analytical findings and strategic recommendations will directly influence profitability decisions and shape how Citi engages with its key payment network partners. Responsibilities Analyze interchange revenue, expense, and profitability across consumer and business card portfolios to identify and capture optimization opportunities.
Monitor payment network performance and develop actionable strategies to improve interchange outcomes across Citi's credit card products. Evaluate the financial impact of network rule changes, pricing updates, and regulatory developments to inform business strategy.
Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports covering interchange economics, network fees, fraud metrics, and overall portfolio performance. Analyze fraud trends across card-present, card-not-present, account takeover, first-party fraud, and emerging typologies to support effective risk mitigation.
Partner with Fraud Strategy teams to assess authorization performance, evaluate fraud controls, and reduce customer friction without increasing fraud exposure. Collaborate with Visa, Mastercard, and other payment network partners on performance reviews and strategic initiatives that advance Citi's network goals.
Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior business leaders in a clear, concise, and decision-ready format. Required Qualifications & Skills 10 or more years of experience in payment networks, interchange analytics, or related financial services roles.
Deep expertise working with payment networks such as Visa and Mastercard, including transaction-level data flows and network rails. Demonstrated ability to optimize interchange outcomes, with a working knowledge of interchange analytics, pricing structures, and the broader transaction-level ecosystem.
Proven capability in fraud loss reduction, fraud strategy management, and the application of network fraud tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex transaction-level data into clear business recommendations.
Ability to manage shifting priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively with a high degree of autonomy. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications Master's degree in a relevant discipline such as Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Experience supporting business cases for new payment products, network initiatives, or fraud mitigation investments.
