Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, derivatives, lending and repo products, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. From the largest global institutions to innovative new hedge funds, investors come to Morgan Stanley for sales, trading, and market-making services in almost every type of financial instruments including stocks, bonds, derivatives, foreign exchange, and commodities.
Our professionals provide liquidity and content to clients around the world, actively assessing and managing risk, trading securities, and planning and executing transactions in the fast-changing markets. As the needs of our clients become increasingly complex, we often develop customized solutions.
Primary Responsibilities: Calibrate and validate Dayzer market simulation models using historical dispatch, congestion, outage, LMP, and transmission data. Run Dayzer short term and long term and produce reports summarizing the model findings Analyse outages, understand and explain the market congestion through Dayzer Model Track market structure changes and Transmission planning changes for a particular ISO Develop reports and tools to track Dayzer fidelity and transparency Work with Traders to manage Portfolio risk & Work with Clients to structure tailored risk POV Leverage AI to automate Workflow Preferred credential : Bachelor or Masters preferred in Power Systems with OPF related courses Experience in running Power flow Models like DAYZER, UPLAN, AURORA or similar Market based OPF software experience understanding the dispatch and congestion patterns in market and correlate with Model behaviour Market familiarity for PJM or MISO or ERCOT desired strong Excel proficiency and also visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI Coding via Python preferred WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
