A Day in the Life This role provides advanced operational and administrative support for a technical lab and project portfolio environment, ensuring work moves efficiently from intake through execution. The position manages request systems, scheduling, material readiness, documentation, purchasing, inventory, and resource coordination while tracking project status, dashboards, and key metrics to support visibility and throughput across multiple priorities.
The role also helps maintain safe, compliant, and well-organized lab operations by supporting EHS expectations, audits, quality and regulatory requirements, and standardized work practices. In addition, it drives continuous improvement, coordinates meetings and follow-up actions, manages SharePoint and knowledge systems, and provides portfolio-level support for travel, vendor coordination, and other business processes to reduce administrative burden on technical teams and improve overall operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Manage lab request systems, intake workflows, and work queues to ensure clear prioritization and throughput Oversee material readiness, part movement, and documentation to enable seamless execution Maintain lab scheduling, equipment calendars, and technician workload balancing (including vendor/facility coordination) Support purchasing, inventory, tooling storage, and overall lab resourcing Track and report project status, dashboards, and key metrics Identify and escalate schedule risks, resource constraints, and material shortages Coordinate team meetings, agendas, and follow-ups as needed Support safety, EHS expectations, audits, and required training - ensure safe, compliant, and efficient lab operations Maintain and standardize work instructions, documentation practices, and lab processes Drive continuous improvement and change management to improve efficiency and communication Ensure alignment with quality and regulatory requirements, as well as support audit readiness and document control Provide portfolio-level operational support for the MTx project portfolio, including coordination of travel, purchasing, and vendor-related activities, ensuring compliance with corporate processes and minimizing administrative burden on technical project teams.
Manage project documentation and knowledge systems, including ownership of SharePoint sites and the MTx technology catalog, ensuring project artifacts are complete, current, and consistently organized to support transparency, reuse, and audit readiness.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile. Requires advanced practical knowledge within a specific discipline typically gained through extensive work experience and/or education.
Requires minimum of 6 years of relevant experience Nice to Have Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or R&D organizations, preferably within a manufacturing or medical device environment. Familiarity with project portfolio management tools, reporting dashboards, and PMO processes.
Experience using Power BI, Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint to support reporting, collaboration, and communication. Experience managing purchasing activities, expense reporting, and vendor coordination within a corporate environment.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear, structured content for technical and cross‑functional audiences. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment and supporting multiple stakeholders.
Experience supporting internal communications or outreach efforts such as newsletters, conference coordination, internal engagement platforms. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$62,400.00 - $93,600.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
