Senior Lead - Close & Control Team
Financial Controller to join our Finance Team within the Close & Control Hub in India. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of reporting across GSK while gaining exposure to a dynamic, global biopharma environment, including leading a team and working closely with the business and other senior finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Support the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA within the market by leading and overseeing Close & Control activities during the dual-run period, ensuring accurate financial reporting, process compliance and operational readiness.
Partner closely with the central S/4 programme teams, Market Finance teams and the Close & Control Hub in Poznań to identify, resolve, and escalate issues, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy processes to the new operating model. Validate reporting outputs, controls, master data, and financial processes across both environments to ensure the integrity of financial information throughout the transformation.
Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting processes by leveraging the latest digital tools, such as AI, Power BI and other advanced analytics solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy and insights Ensure full compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements, GSK accounting policies and SOX controls, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and governance.
Provide technical accounting support and guidance on complex accounting matters, ensuring accurate application of accounting standards and timely resolution of reporting issues. Partner closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Tax, Treasury, and Global Finance teams to ensure alignment on financial outcomes and reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Experience Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional experience 10 to 15 years’ experience in accounting, audit, or financial controlling In-depth knowledge of accounting principles Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) Commitment to continuous professional development and learning Skills Business Acumen, Cyber Risks, Data Analytics, Digital Fluency, Driving Continuous Improvement, Financial Controlling, Financial Management Reporting, Stakeholder Management Why GSK?
