About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Analyst

In This Role, You Will

  • Participate in less complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps Adhere to data governance standards and procedures Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality Design and monitor data governance, data quality and metadata policies, standards, tools, processes

  • Good understanding of Data Management policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting data governance programs, compliance activities, and data quality initiatives across business functions.
  • Strong knowledge of data quality management, metadata management, data lineage, and governance controls.
  • Experience with AI, automation, analytics, and reporting tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Platform, Python, and related technologies.
  • Ability to independently manage assigned deliverables and ensure timely, high-quality execution.
  • Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and supporting governance and business requirements.
  • Good project coordination and organizational skills, including tracking deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data, metrics, and insights effectively.
  • Ability to develop management-level reports, dashboards, scorecards, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, process improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Experience in BFSI or regulated industry environment is desirable 2+ years of quality assurance experience and developing data quality rules. 2+ years of experience with SQL, ETL or other data management, reporting and query tools 2+ years of experience in data lineage and mapping to create and deliver artifacts. 2+ years change management, Process formulation, team leading
  • Stakeholder management experience. 2+ years of project management experience in support of process change within an organization.
  • Experience in JIRA and Confluence tools, Power BI, Power Automate, Abinitio etc.
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical subject matter experts on system implementations.
  • Job Expectations: As a member of the Corporate Functions Domain team, you will play a key role in advancing data governance, data quality, metadata management, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain Data Dictionaries, Control Catalogs, and other governance artifacts for assigned applications and Use Cases.
  • Understand and document data lifecycle, data lineage, and related metadata in accordance with governance policies and procedures.
  • Support the delivery of metadata, data quality, and governance artifacts required for business use cases and applications.
  • Identify and document Core Data Elements (CDEs), including the appropriate Systems of Record (SORs).
  • Partner with application owners, business teams, and technology teams to complete required governance deliverables and standard artifacts.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues, and complete governance templates.
  • Support enterprise-wide data governance and data quality initiatives to ensure data effectively supports business operations and decision-making.
  • Perform analysis and reporting to support regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend remediation for data quality, integrity, and control gaps.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and testing of data controls to ensure data risks and controls are accurately identified and documented.
  • Support data quality metrics, monitoring activities, and audits to assess and improve the overall state of data quality.
  • Ensure adherence to established data governance standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to governance, metadata, and data quality activities that strengthen the organization's data management framework.
  • Lead or support moderately complex to complex enterprise initiatives related to data governance, data quality, metadata management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a trusted partner and, when required, act as a relationship manager for assigned lines of business.
  • Bridge communication and collaboration across governance teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions, governance forums, and decision-making sessions while effectively communicating outcomes and expectations.
  • Translate complex governance and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for application and technology teams.
  • Demonstrate a strong governance mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead meetings and effectively articulate governance, risk, compliance, and regulatory expectations to stakeholders.
  • Support database architecture and design activities, including requirements assessment, data structure definition, documentation, sizing and configuration guidance, and operational best practices, where applicable.
