- support a world-class search and analytics platform serving individuals and businesses of all sizes Produce high-quality code that is robust, efficient
- maintainable Work at the core of OpenSearch and contribute to the open-source project Work on challenging problems in areas such as data visualization, log analytics, observability pipelines, query optimization, security analytics
- AI-assisted insights Continually challenge what exists and explore what should be changed to best meet evolving customer needs Possess knowledge in large-scale distributed system design and engineering best practices Participate in setting a vision and objectives for OpenSearch UI in alignment with customer needs and market opportunities Drive algorithm and architecture design, execute

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience - 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems
- services using: C#, C++, Java
- Perl experience - 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics
- a related field - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing
