- The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager(TIPM) manages the IT Infrastructure scope of a complex suite of projects and is responsible for the delivery of initiatives across business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfillment IT from strategy, conceptual design feasibility, requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing
- deployment. As a TIPM, along with technical knowledge, we expect our leaders to interact with customers, partners and suppliers to understand our business goals and priorities

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator both written and verbal, in project management of technical initiatives. Strong judgement, negotiation skills, ability to influence without authority, analytical talent and leadership are characteristics of a successful TIPM. In addition to those with infrastructure delivery experience, candidates possessing a proven success in delivery in architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, software/network engineering or IT/telecom infrastructure deployments, will have a distinct advantage. The TIPM will be familiar with a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle. They'll be able to exhibit demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking. Key job responsibilities
- Define program mission, vision, and objectives; manage program roadmaps and contribute to annual planning narratives for your organization
- Lead complex infrastructure builds across multiple teams , identifying technical design issues and providing actionable feedback to engineering teams
- Influence resource allocation and team priorities through data-driven analysis and stakeholder alignment
- Streamline and eliminate excess process while driving organizational efficiencies across the program portfolio
- Mentor program managers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to team development through promotion assessments and knowledge sharing
- Comfortable with periodic travel across the assigned region in support of operational and program objectives.
- Provide project management and direction to ensure the project team has a clear understanding of timelines, risks, escalation path and roles/responsibilities they will undertake within the project team. A day in the life You might begin by reviewing program health metrics and preparing a narrative update for senior leadership, then shift to a working session with engineering leads to resolve a complex technical dependency blocking a multi-site deployment. Later, you could be mentoring a junior program manager on how to structure a difficult stakeholder conversation

- 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience - Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams - Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects - Experience working with or evaluating AI systems - Experience working cross-functionally and across regions
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- experience in project, program or product management with focus on technical education programs - Experience developing or delivering training programs across multiple sites or regions
