  • EHS Departments at the Abbott Structural Heart, Caguas, PR site. This role is responsible for maintenance programs of facilities critical systems, site utilities, housekeeping services, Pest Control program, EHS & Infirmary

Implement EHS programs and processes for an approximate 600 employee’s organization in alignment with divisional and corporate objectives, standards and metrics. Responsible for successful completion of all regulatory EHS impactions within site operations. Leads and implements applicable programs to assure an adequate Safety Program within site, in compliance within all local and federal regulations as OSHA, PROSHA, EPA, EQB, Division, etc. Establish and manage the Hygiene plant program to comply with internal policies and procedures and regulatory agencies Facilitate the RCRA, Hazmat, HAZPOWER, DOT programs and training updates to the EHS Team to the Emergency Incident commander. Responsible for waste minimization and recycling program compliance to assure compliance with regulations and Corporate Technical Standard. Responsible for the operational compliance of environmental program such as RCRA, Air, Water, pollution prevention for the manufacturing facility Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Minimum of 6 years in an Engineering or operational role. Previous facilities or maintenance management experience. Basic knowledge of applicable US non-US applicable regulations. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience selecting and managing vendors and contracts. Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results. Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment. Strong interpersonal and project management skills. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
