Head of Alpha Data Solution Architecture and Head of Alpha, India - Managing Director

We're looking for a candidate to take on the role of Head of Alpha Data Solution Architecture supporting pre-sales due diligence and implementation solution oversight for globally and take on leadership and management responsibilities for Alpha Product team in India.

What you will be responsible for Responsible for leading a global team of Data Solution Architects in NA, EMEA and APAC regions. Will play a lead role in overseeing and leadership for Alpha in region Will work with senior management both in region and globally to develop and maintain the optimum organization structure in India Drive new solutions and lead proof of concepts to expand current Data services offerings collaborating external data vendors and partner technology firms.

Input into Alpha Data Strategy and State Street interoperable data solutions working closely with Data Service Product Owners. Be the face of the ADS organization to take the client’s Chief Data Architect / CDO and Data teams through the Alpha journey/adoption.

Provide thought leadership to the client during the due diligence and through the entire implementation journey by understanding the Alpha architecture and client’s architecture. Accountable for the end-to-end solutioning of Front-to-Back ("F2B”) Alpha Data Platform (“ADP”)/ADS solutions to the client, starting with helping with precontract due diligence and client presentations, documenting Target Data Solution Architecture and Future State Operating model of Data services, Solution Design.

Will manage the data solutioning and shared ownership of client delivery with Alpha Data Implementation teams globally. Collaborate with upstream application and system owners within State Street to expand existing data solution and represent Alpha Data Solution Architecture on Alpha Services Design Council.

Review designs put together by DSAs and execution of process engineering to ‘bring to life’ the data solution encompassing data flows from multiple sources to target client consumption layer. Identify ADP product and data service gaps/inconsistencies and partner with Product and Service Practice managers to solution the gaps and propose interim or tactical solutions.

Partner with broader State Street Application/Service Owners to provide solutions in support of any new client requirements that are extension of the standard set of services or in some select cases a client specific bespoke data solution. These skills will help you succeed in this role: Experience in leading high performance global teams and building strong alliances with other leaders navigating complex organisation structures.

Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills across all channels and levels of recipients including team members, colleagues, clients at all levels including C suite. Experience in leading pre-sales or being key contributor as part of deal pursuit team for data solutions and services.

Demonstrate excellent client stakeholder management skills by being the ‘trusted partner’. Support a culture of commitment, teamwork and productivity alongside diversity and work life balance. Ability to rationalize problems and use judgment and innovation to define clear and concise solutions Extensive experience with Financial Services data domains – Security Master, Entity Master, Benchmarks, Positions, Transactions, Cash, Performance, Analytics, ESG etc.

Knowledge of Data Management, Data Governance, Data Observability, Service Catalogue, Operational Dashboards, Process Monitoring tools Working knowledge in Azure / AWS cloud platforms with Snowflake and Databricks is a huge plus Knowledge about internal and external integrations, triage issues and implement/recommend solutions to data problems and anomalies.

Prior experience with State Street and Charles River Development (CRD), Blackrock Aladdin or other OMS is considered a plus Education & Preferred Qualifications University degree in the field of computer science, data management or other financial services technical field 15+ years in data management, data architecture, product and market data roles and responsibilities About State Street Across the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
