KBR is seeking a post-doctoral applicant to provide chemistry and data analytic support to AFIT Department of Systems Engineering & Management. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the evaluation of advanced oxidation processes in groundwater remediation systems. Data will be collected from laboratory experiments and computational chemistry software platforms.
- Assist with computational analysis of chemicals present in the water cycle. Determine transformation pathways and reaction mechanisms for chemicals of interest.
- Participate in research group discussions, typically held each week. Work Environment: Location: On-Site Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20% Working Hours: Standard Required Qualifications:
- BS in Chemistry
- 2+ years in environmental investigation and sampling (soil/water/sediment)
- Knowledge of Density Functional Theory
- Published journal article author Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science or Chemisty
