Key job responsibilities Daily responsibilities will include designing the Civil, Structural, and Architectural systems of data centers, utilizing Revit to create and maintain BIM models. You should be able to work with support and guidance within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks. This includes working with internal groups as well as external suppliers and consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. Your duties will include: - Being self-motivated to work within the BIM Design group, as well as within other teams. - Supporting the preparation and development of detailed CSA BIM models. - Developing & publishing construction documentation for CSA building system designs in a fast-paced environment to meet scheduled deliverables. - Updating and modifying existing models, studies, and construction documents. - Assisting with the creation and maintenance of BIM templates, and enforcing BIM standards. - Participating in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution. - Working on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations. - Assisting the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers. - Providing coordination support for information requests during construction phases. - Recording and reporting of key metrics to management. - Traveling to data center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys as required. A day in the life As a designer, you will collaborate across disciplines and teams to refine data center designs. Your work includes creating detailed models, drawings, specification, prototypes, and updating managers and leaders of changes to the building design. You engage in design discussions, review feedback from peers and collaborators, and adjust designs to ensure our data center solutions meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality. - Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region - 3+ years of Civil, Structural
- Architectural design experience on mission critical facilities - 2+ years of experience using Revit for producing Civil, Structural
- Architectural BIM models and construction drawings - Experience participating in BIM coordination meetings and performing clash detection and resolution across multi-disciplinary models
- Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers - Familiarity with the BIMForum LOD Specification, as well as applying Lean principles to design modeling and drawing production - Experience designing within the full lifecycle of a building, from concept to permit, construction
- occupancy - Use of the following software: Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Dynamo, RF Tools, CTC Tools, Smartsheet
