Position Summary This role is responsible for all revenue cycle business operations for an assigned Center of Excellence that supports The US Oncology Network. This leader can navigate a complex, multi-level leadership structure within The US Oncology Network to achieve performance.

This includes all aspects of revenue cycle, including, but limited to, billing functionality and service components determined by strategic and annual work plan goals for a multi-state/multi-site environment. This role may also serve as a revenue cycle consultant for practices while they prepare for the eventual transition to an RBO operational model.

Key Responsibilities Helps develop plans and executes on regional- or system-wide efforts to improve key performance metrics, including though not limited to, timely and accurate billing, high volume cash collections, reduction to total AR balance, reduction to bad debt expense and timely cash application processes Develop and maintain policies, procedures and work instructions aligning functional teams and leadership around these goals, in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and Network standards Monitor and drive continuous improvement in key performance metrics around financial, activity and quality indicators; address performance gaps with team Collaborate with practice operations, RBO and physician leadership to resolve specific revenue cycle issues or challenges Serve as onsite support for practice operations, and play key leadership role Act as interim revenue cycle leader for practice if needed Set performance objectives and budget for RBO director, account managers/liaisons, other regional leaders (eg, analytics, training), manage regional budget and P&L Mentor employees to support their growth and development, specifically second- and first-level managers within RBO or region or practice Perform performance reviews, including gathering feedback from teams of direct reports, practice and operational leadership Handle all people management responsibilities Attend Joint Policy Board meetings and help manage complex revenue cycle issues from the Network practices Lead through influence, to align practice leadership with overall RCM goals/strategy Provide assessment of revenue cycle operations for practices not in RBO model, recommend solutions to address gaps or areas of potential risk to practice P&L Assess process gaps between practice workflows and Network RCM standards to support system design and implementation Support practice operations during practice management system implementation, serve as change agent with practice and RBO teams Lead Network-wide revenue cycle initiatives from ideation to completion, including timeline, resource planning, key deliverables, outcomes, transition plan (eg, centralization, new payment models, analytics and reporting, incentive plan design) Minimum Requirement Degree or equivalent experience.

Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience). Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred or relevant experience required Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field desirable Critical Skills 13 years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations required At least two to five (2-5) years of P&L responsibility required At least six (6) years of experience managing leaders within a department required Network leadership team to back-end RBO team members) Revenue cycle processes and operations experience Front- and back-office functions, including Network BluePrint/standards Working knowledge of practice management systems (eg, AthenaIDX, Centricity Practice) and related systems (eg, iKnowMed, ARIA, Mosaiq, Orchard, Financial Data Warehouse) Financial acumen - financial analysis and P&L interpretation skills including ability to calculate cost benefit analysis and ROI, and help identify financial savings, self-motivated, organized and capable of handling multiple responsibilities and projects to successful completion Additional Knowledge & Skills Proven track record on project management and process improvement including identification of problems, solution options, influencing operational adoption and implementation resulting in strong positive performance outcomes Training and change management leadership Strong communication skills up, down and across.

Effective communication with all teams and levels (from physician shareholders to front-line team members, from Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills Strong change management, instruction, educational leader Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value Strong writing, presentation and influencing skills, ability to lead through influence At least five to ten (5-10) years operations experience preferred At least two (2) years process improvement or lean six sigma experience preferred At least two (2) years’ experience with project management preferred Physical Requirements Up to 20% of travel Must be authorized to work in the US.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
