This role partners across product and engineering to deliver enterprise provider data transformation, modernization and engineering excellence across mission-critical platforms. The ideal candidate is a strategic team leader with deep experience in large-scale systems, data migration, strong organizational influence, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams and deliver business outcomes through technology.
Required Qualifications · 10+ years of software engineering experience across modern and legacy technology stacks, including Java, Node.js, JavaScript, Python, Angular, and mainframe platforms (e.g., COBOL, CICS, DB2) · 2+ experience leveraging Generative AI technologies and frameworks to drive innovation and automation · 5+ years of experience in healthcare payer platforms specifically in Provider Data management.
Performed large scale migration of provider data between platforms. · 3+ years of experience in product development leading a team of 50+ people · Leads technology solutions for cloud platforms, data pipelines, APIs, and integration patterns that support scalable AI-driven provider data solutions · 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP and/or Azure), including cloud-native development and large-scale migration/modernization strategies from legacy environments (including mainframe) · 5+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture spanning distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and mainframe integration patterns · 5+ years of experience with DevSecOps practices, building in build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and source code management tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Octopus) · 5+ years of experience with modern data platforms, including NoSQL databases and caching technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Bigtable, Neo4j), along with experience integrating with mainframe data stores (e.g., DB2, VSAM) · 5+ years of performance management and leadership experience with excellent problem-solving, business acumen, and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams · Self-starter with a strong learning mindset; proactive in adopting emerging technologies and driving innovative, scalable solutions · Demonstrated ability to lead independently, adapt quickly, and drive innovation Preferred Qualifications · Strong knowledge of Provider Data domain · Experience with Container development (Kubernetes, OpenShift) · Experience with Test Driven Development · Knowledge of Agile methodologies (SAFe, Kanban, XP) and Tools such as Jira · Experience with AI assisted software development tools such as CoPilot, Claude, etc.. · Prior Experience & Knowledge of Healthcare industry with preference to experience working with Healthcare Provider applications · Exposure to CDC frameworks, streaming pipelines and NoSQL databases.
Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
