Roles and Responsibilities: D evelop s effective, robust, reliable and dynamic exercise related products that p rovide Army Air Defense commanders, staffs , and units the capability to train in an operationally relevant, live, virtual and constructive environment that stimulates multi-domain operations from battery to theater level.
Provide s analytical support to plan, prepare, rehearse, conduct, and assess staff exercises, table-top exercises, Mission Rehearsal Exercises, Culminating Training Events, and unit sustainment training events . Coordinates with and assists with exercise Action Officers as required in the various Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events to include exercise planning, scenario development and scripting.
Plans, organizes, and prepares exercise products to facilitate joint air and missile defense operations, including A MD capabilities, offensive and defensive counter-air operations , coalition naval capability integration, sensor system management, and data link operations .
Develops exercise plans for managing assigned army, navy and air forces and reviews and publishes exercise documents such as Special instructions and Area Air Defense Plans . Advises on the effective use of army air battle management assets.
Provides functional expertise and input for activating, employing, deploying, or deactivating army air battle management systems . Provides recommendations to create inter-operability among air battle management assets and other warfighting capabilities to enhance exercise operations and allow air defense commanders to increase responsiveness and flexibility.
Advises on army weapons control capabilities , procedural control methods, and overall joint air battle management . Performs other tasks in support of the Joint Training Program, such as developing plans, knowledge management, doctrine review, conference support, and related administrative assignments .
Serve as a member of the Exercise Control (EXCON) cell and direct the synchronization, execution, and tracking of Master Scenario Events List (MSEL ) to maintain realistic training timelines and achieve established commander training objectives .
Replicate Higher Command (HICOM) staff elements during operational planning and execution and deliver realistic, vertically nested guidance, orders, and information-flow requests to the training audience to simulate realistic multi-echelo n.
Represent Lower Command (LOCOM) and adjacent units within virtual-constructive simulations AND generate timely, standardized subordinate reports (e.g., SITREPs, LOGSTATs) in response to training audience injects to test the unit's battle tracking and decision-making capabilities
Basic Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen Must have SECRET Security clearance Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or 5 years Military experience with Air and Missile Defense operations
Preferred Qualifications
- A working knowledge of Joint Planning processes, Air and Missile defense capabilities, Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and Rapid Decision -making and Synchronization Process (RDSP) Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel
