Focus of the Role As the Senior Internal Communications and Engagement Lead for Telstra Enterprise, you will shape and deliver the employee communications, engagement and inclusion strategy that connects our people to our purpose, culture and strategic priorities.
You will play a critical role in bringing the Telstra Enterprise vision to life by creating clear, compelling and authentic narratives that help employees understand where we are going, why it matters and how they contribute to our success.
As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will translate complex business strategies, transformation programs and organisational priorities into engaging communications, campaigns and experiences that drive alignment, understanding and action across the Enterprise workforce.
A key focus of the role is leading the Enterprise employee engagement agenda. Leveraging insights from the internal data, listening channels and workforce data, you will identify themes, uncover opportunities and partner with leaders to design communications and engagement strategies that improve employee experience, strengthen culture and increase organisational effectiveness.
You will help ensure employees see visible action in response to their feedback and foster a culture of continuous listening and improvement. You will own and deliver high-impact communications and "moments that matter", including: Leadership communications and executive storytelling Enterprise-wide engagement campaigns and initiatives Town halls, all-hands events and employee experiences Change and transformation program communications and engagement initiatives Critical Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs and awareness campaigns Recognition and culture-building initiatives Employee listening and engagement action planning In addition, you will support the creation of C-suit, executive-ready presentations, leadership messaging packs, visual storytelling assets and go-to-market communications materials that help bring strategic initiatives to life across the organisation.
You will also get involved in the ongoing development and refresh of Enterprise SharePoint and digital communication channels, ensuring employees have access to relevant, engaging and easy-to-navigate content that strengthens connection, alignment and knowledge sharing.
Success in this role requires exceptional storytelling capability, strong executive (c-suit) stakeholder management, a passion for employee experience and engagement, and the ability to blend communications, culture, data insights and creativity to build a more connected, informed and inclusive Telstra Enterprise.

Employee Engagement, Communications & Change Leadership Lead the development and execution of the Telstra Enterprise Employee Engagement, Communications and Change strategy, ensuring alignment to business priorities, workforce objectives and the CY30 vision.
Create compelling narratives and communication strategies that connect employees to our purpose, strategy, culture and transformation agenda. Leverage Employee Engagement Survey (EES) and employee listening insights to identify themes, develop engagement action plans and support leaders in addressing priority opportunities.
Measure and monitor engagement outcomes, translating workforce insights into targeted communication, culture and engagement initiatives. Build and embed the CY30 vision, narrative and key messaging across leadership communications, employee campaigns, team rhythms, onboarding experiences and transformation initiatives.
Develop high-quality content across multiple channels and formats, including leadership communications, employee campaigns, intranet and SharePoint content, newsletters, executive messaging, presentations, videos, FAQs, toolkits and talking points.
Design and deliver change and communication plans that support organisational transformation and maximise employee understanding, readiness and adoption. Create and maintain communication toolkits, content libraries, templates and playbooks that improve consistency, quality and speed to market. 2.
Executive Storytelling, Events & Employee Experience Partner with communications team, executives and senior leaders to translate complex business strategies and priorities into engaging, clear and human-centred communications. Create executive-ready presentations, briefing packs, narratives and visual storytelling materials to support leadership forums, town halls and strategic communications.
Lead the communications and engagement approach for key employee moments, including leadership events, All In sessions, recognition programs, culture initiatives and showcases. Design employee experiences that strengthen connection, belonging and understanding across Enterprise.
Develop event narratives, storyboards, audience journeys and engagement activities that create meaningful employee experiences and reinforce strategic priorities. Own and continuously improve Enterprise communication channels, including SharePoint, Viva Engage and other digital employee platforms.
Support SharePoint content strategy, page refreshes, user experience improvements and content governance to ensure employees can easily find, consume and engage with information. Develop engaging media and digital content that supports awareness, understanding and adoption of key initiatives. 4.
AI & Future Ways of Working Apply AI-enabled approaches to improve communication effectiveness, employee engagement and operational efficiency. Utilise AI tools to support content creation, summarisation, audience segmentation, sentiment analysis, measurement and campaign optimisation.
Establish safe and responsible AI practices, including governance, templates, approval processes and content quality controls. Explore agentic AI and automation opportunities to streamline recurring communication, reporting and engagement activities while maintaining appropriate human oversight. 5.
Stakeholder Leadership & Collaboration Build trusted relationships with Enterprise leaders, PCC, Corporate Affairs, Enablement teams and subject matter experts across the organisation. Influence and enable leaders to become effective communicators and engagement champions for their teams.
Facilitate workshops, engagement discussions and communication planning sessions to support organisational priorities. Bring stakeholders together to solve problems, align messaging and deliver coordinated employee experiences. Model a collaborative, inclusive and agile way of working that builds capability and confidence across the business.
Success in this Role Success will be measured by your ability to: Increase employee engagement, connection and understanding of Enterprise priorities. Turn employee feedback and EES insights into meaningful actions and visible outcomes. Build trusted relationships with leaders and stakeholders across Enterprise.
Deliver high-impact communications and employee experiences that influence behaviour and drive change. Enhance the effectiveness of Enterprise communication channels, SharePoint experiences and engagement platforms. Create simple, compelling stories that help employees connect strategy to action and understand the role they play in delivering Telstra's future.
