About the team The Hardware Test Engineering team is accountable for testing any new prototype/pre-production hardware designs within Amazon's robotic solutions. We validate that any design meets our high standards for quality, efficiency
- most of all, safety. Part of the larger "Systems Engineering and Evaluation" group. Work directly along-side test engineers from other disciplines (Mechanical Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers) to build end-to-end test strategies for Robotic products. Team is located in both BOS12 and BOS27, with lab spaces and test capabilities in both facilities. Occasional travel between office locations.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent - 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience - Experience with prototyping and implementation - 4+ years of technical engineering experience - Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systems - Experience with test plan development, building the necessary test bench infrastructure, developing tests and verifying the design - Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability - Experience in hardware lab equipment such as digital scopes, logic analyzers
- soldering tools - Experience designing test fixtures, automated controls
