The Senior Manager, Paid Social & Search Marketing is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, optimization, and growth of paid social and social search marketing programs that drive demand generation, customer acquisition, engagement, and conversion.

This role serves as the bridge between hands-on campaign management and strategic media leadership, translating business objectives into full-funnel paid media strategies across major social platforms and social search environments. The position partners closely with marketing, creative, analytics, CRM, loyalty, influencer, and agency teams to maximize campaign performance, leverage audience and customer insights, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The Senior Manager is also responsible for advancing testing and innovation, integrating paid social with broader marketing efforts, and developing talent while fostering a culture of performance excellence and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a strategic and results-driven paid media leader with 5–7 years of experience in paid social, performance marketing, digital media, or social search.

They possess deep expertise across major social advertising platforms and have a proven ability to develop, execute, and optimize full-funnel campaigns that drive measurable business outcomes. The candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with creative thinking, leveraging audience insights, testing methodologies, and performance data to continuously improve results.

They are a collaborative leader who excels at influencing cross-functional stakeholders, partnering with creative and analytics teams, and mentoring talent within a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment. Experience integrating paid social with search marketing strategies, first-party data activation, influencer content amplification, and advanced marketing measurement approaches is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven marketing leader who understands how to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution. They are equally comfortable discussing business strategy with senior leadership, developing audience and investment recommendations, evaluating creative performance, and optimizing campaigns for efficiency and growth.

They bring strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for innovation, testing, and continuous improvement. Demonstrated success leading paid social and social search programs. Expertise managing campaigns across major social advertising platforms.

Strong analytical mindset with experience translating data into business decisions. Ability to develop audience strategies utilizing first-party and platform data. Experience leading testing, optimization, and performance measurement initiatives.

Strong partnership skills across creative, analytics, CRM, loyalty, brand, and agency teams. Experience managing agencies, projects, and team members. Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Passion for innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning. Essential Qualifications and Functions: 5–7 years of experience in paid social, performance marketing, digital media, or social search. Hands-on expertise across major social advertising platforms.

Experience developing and managing full-funnel paid media strategies. Strong campaign optimization, budget management, and performance marketing expertise. Experience with paid social and search marketing integration. Strong analytical, reporting, and data interpretation skills.

Experience partnering with creative teams to develop performance-focused content. Ability to build audience targeting and segmentation strategies. Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Experience leading projects, agencies, or team members in a marketing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within retail, healthcare, or other consumer-facing industries.
  • Experience leveraging CRM and first-party customer data for audience activation.
  • Knowledge of marketing measurement methodologies, including MMM, MTA, and incrementality testing.
  • Experience with influencer marketing, creator partnerships, and content amplification.
  • Familiarity with influencer whitelisting, usage rights, and brand safety practices.
  • Experience working within complex, highly matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading integrated paid media programs across multiple channels.
  • Education Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
  • Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $82,940.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
  • The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
  • This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
  • This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
